/prog/

Talk about prog rock, jazz-rock prog metal, prog electronic, space rock, and etc. Old albums, new albums whatever.

Can't believe Scaruffi gave Godbluff a 5/10.

Who is the best prog group and why is it Voivod?

Now that King Crimson, Yes, etc. are becoming more well known outside of progressive rock circles, and musicians might be writing more music and practicing their instruments more because of current events, do you think progressive rock might make a dent in underground music this decade?
Considering how the 2000's were when the 70's went through a revival, and a lot of prog like the Mars Volta and the Dilinger Escape Plan came about then, I doubt, but it would be funny seeing the rest of the underground freak out about it.

That's a weird way to spell Henry Cow.

>delayed to 2021
It will probably be his worst album anyway

Thoughts on this? I thought it was pretty good. The time changes are dizzying and frequent.

noice, will listen

Invisible it's a criminally underrated band. No one talks about them on Yas Forums

Isn't he doing video game music now?

Pretty good. Reminds me of Yes. Should I listen to this one?

Is there a better prog vocalist than Annie Haslam?

Pretty sure she's an angel.

Yes, it is their most revered and last album of the 3 they put out. But I like the 2nd one the most, then the 1st one and then that one. El Jardín it's more jazzy and relaxed, while the other ones are more intricate and very chordally dense. The three of them are very good, tho.

Thank you, and Rush are the best!

Yeah, it was definitely softer. Good guitar solos, though. I'll check out their first album sometime today too.

You mean that Last Day of June Game? That was just based on his music video

Great comeback album, doesn't reach the quality of the debut but it's still nice

Thoughts on this album? I really like the intro track, the guitar tones and the diverse sounding songs. 10/10 would recommend.

Spain was a goldmine of prog and jazz rock bands during the 70's. I can post download links to some of my favorites if anyone's interested.

Well, during most of the 70s most form of popular music were being strictly controlled by the Francoist regime. So the Spanish were pretty late into the art rock game. They definitely put out some good stuff in the second half of the decade.

There are progressive acts that are still making music now.Tool and Opeth both had albums last year.

I haven't liked what I've heard of it so far at least. Dude's getting more hamfisted than usual lately. Hopefully there'll be a couple good songs on it.

I'm in need of more electronic space rock
