I haven't been on this board in years. Can we drop all the bullshit and just have a comfy thread about shitty 2000s music and be real? I miss you guys and I think it'd be fun to get nostalgic.
What were your favourite albums? Which bands did you like? Who did you see live? What album got you through highschool?
>you will never pull a girl with shorter hair than you in an indie club while this blasts out ever again youtube.com/watch?v=B9dSYgd5Elk

>Miss you guys Sorry this board is filled with brainwashed Ideologue zoomers now over the last 2 years. You'd be best to stay off.

OP here. M-G-M-T are S-H-I-T
Adrian Jackson
>unironically praises dance gavin dance >shits on mgmt lol fuck off
Benjamin James
Yeah probably. I used to tripfag here (lmao) and do share threads all the time. Sad to see that those don't really exist anymore, but it is what it is I guess. Spotify really fucked shit up, huh?
Yeah, not great. Electric Feel goes hard, though.
Tyler White
>post in thread because I feel sorry for op being sad >get insulted mean
>What were your favourite albums? Didn't really listen to many albums back then. Was more of a singles guy, but experimented around with mostly indie, punk, and post hardcore. >youtube.com/watch?v=DtMAPLtKjKc Best album I heard was probably this. 2:13 of this song was literally my introduction to jazz kek.
>Which bands did you like? >Sum-41, Aquabats, anything Jackass-related, CKY, anything screaming/post-hardcore, ska, skate-punk.
>Who did you see live? >youtu.be/2FT2iDY7sIE And a bunch of other shitty metal bands. Had no money back then so all I could ever drop was $5 to $10 a show.
Looking back, I was an edgelord faggot. Miss a lot of the post-hardcore bands though like Chiodos, the Number Twelve Looks Like You, The Dillinger Escape Plan, etc. Also the Guitar Hero games gave me a lot of new music and got me into really playing guitar.
Gabriel Diaz
I got into Born of Osiris, Norma Jean, Job for a Bowboy, etc through an Aussie magazine that I read in hospital, haha. Jackass got me into Roger Alan Wade, which found its way into constant rotation at my first restaurant job in a BBQ place, pretty fond memories of that. youtube.com/watch?v=n3Mn6V1IzHw
I really like the mathy direction it went in. And I always thought Johnny Whatshisname was overrated as fuck as a singer. The instrumental release of Happiness is fucking cool, too, would recommend. youtu.be/43Uy5dn_N1E
one of my best friends really likes Dance Gavin Dance and I try to be supportive but I really think the few songs I've listened to are absolute shit. The vocals are so goddamn annoying and the instrumentation is nothing special at all. Also just the genre doesn't do much for me in general.
Nathaniel Jackson
>one of my best friends really likes Dance Gavin Dance and I try to be supportive
are you by any chance Canadian?
Levi Williams
DGD embodies the worst of Post-Hardcore desu, don't judge the whole genre by them
