shut up

He fucked up

A little bit too generous

>light 7
>basically a 6
>but he didn't want the "i think its a 6" backlash
no balls fantano

Based melon

based and redpilled

>gave it a higher score to avoid backlash
>still got a fuck ton of backlash
You are making this up in your head

nah, I'd give it a light 10 myself. to review music, you need to exit from your privilege and adopt the status and experiences of the singer. Fantano is unable to comprehend the difficulties of a lgbtq woman in todays society so he is unable to comprehend or relate to the music. you should never be in that position as a critic. a light 7 basically exposes himself as a fraud.

What are you fucking talking about? She isn't even gay.

It's strategic.
He could have easily gave it an 8 and avoid any drama but he did it on purpose. He knew and it's actually free press/attention for him.
His ass is safe, he isn't getting cancelled after the Fader incident, he already arranged things behind the curtains.
You're all gullible zoomers for thinking he "fucked up" or "getting cancelled". You're pawns in his game, retards. Keep giving him attention.

Only good thing he's done since becoming Post-Fader Fantano

This but unironically

Critics should switch to a 1-3 scale instead of 1-10 scale.

3 represents a 10, which is the best of the best.
2 represents a 8 or 9, which is pretty good.
1 represents a 1 to 7, which everyone knows is trash.

He should have just given it a 1. That would have created a very entertaining comments section and probably made national headlines lol.

fine a strong 9 then. happy now?

It is a 6 though. Hilarious how he misrepresented Newspaper though. It’s about a love triangle! I listened to it once and it wasn’t obviously about being abused and then seeing someone else get with that abuser but not being able to do anything about it lol

based

what a contrarian

The music is kinda pedestrian so a 6 is generous.
Who gives a shit about lyrics. He should be reviewing music, not podcasts. The singer's choices of words don't matter as much as their voice qua musical instrument.

Good for him. Controversial reviews MAKE a reviewer. For example, Scaruffi was noticed because of his take on The Beatles. A critic that just goes with the critical consensus is boring
Album is still a 10 though

Fagtano really out here tryna be the next Scaruffi or some shit

he doesn't get the lyrics it's 9

What about For Her? If I am to adopt the experiences od the singer, who's experiences do I adopt in that song. Fiona openly expresses that the lyrics in that song aren't hers, and her attempt to internalize them makes it an altogether weaker song, as it struggles to identify with an individual "her", and a group of women who got "raped" by their partners. Ultimately the song comes across as half baked and accusatory, and the tonal contradictions hurt it lyrically. Then immediately after this song, you get Drumsets, which is a song that is waay too personal to the extent of being am almost inside joke.

How do I relate to a song that stands out completely from the rest of the album in lyrical complexity, that essentially is about something that not even your average woman could relate to?

A way more accurate score than what pitchfork gave

Sometimes it really does seem to me like I live in a bizzaro universe. I can't even comprehend the motivation of the outrage. Are the people freaking out even really humans?

I think it's pretty accurate score and I'm glad he didn't give in for the hype, and didn't exploit the opportunity to have a safe female 10/10 in his catalogue

I'm not planning to listen to the record.

he's a sexist dismissing albums made by women in favor of trash like deathgrips??>??

unironically the only slightly good thing he's done in years. he's causing retards on twitter to seethe and that's a good thing

seeing twittfags argue over something so retarded give me joy

Is this satire? Like it's honestly hard to tell at this point cause who would honestly accuse somebody of being a sexist for not liking an album, yet here where are
