>he doesn't want to make a country metal band
cringe

Nashville?

Massachusetts

be a one man band

I tried, but it's so uninspiring. it's not fun doing it yourself. when I use to play with my friend, ideas would just pop out thin air and we'll work on it. when working on a song myself I just don't feel the same motivation.

Same here. It's all country, boomer rock, or church groups out here.
I just want to do dark synth stuff with some people.

lmao, why are these people everywhere?

Make progressive country metal, would be doing everyone a service by making that a thing.

So what you're saying is that you're not a talented enough musician to play metal, or a talented enough songwriter to make country music? Maybe practice more, I dunno.

My band has been searching for a third member for 5 years. We still play and record but all we've ever wanted was to do something improvisational with a power trio. We don't get gigs either because it's all cover bands here. Nobody wants to play good music.

i know how you feel. im afraid i'll never find anyone to start a visual kei band with

>not a talented enough songwriter to make country music

You dropped some excess straw, man

That's a pop derivative of country, not true country music. Try some Kris Kristofferson or Townes van Zandt albums.

where you at?

>want to start a power metal/glam rock band
>all my friends want to play is slowcore and shoegaze

>Want to actually write tunes
>others just want to play improv
>can never relax at gigs because i dont know if we'll be good or shit
just

This is some extreme levels of coping.

Life as a keyboardist who wants to do alt/progressive/electronic/funk stuff in a town of boomer blues rawkers is hell

I agree. Sharing music and playing with bandmates is a way better experience than doing it on your own.

You think you have it hard?
>be tard in middle school back in 2005
>starting to get into music ( David bowie, Yes, led zeppelin, Cinderella etc.)
>everyone I know either listens to country or nigger music
>since MS everyone is super religious.
Like no shit I used to have a diamond dogs shirt and someone punched me and called me a "satanist"
I miss that shirt not gonna lie

Lol what

You sound retarded.

Hello? Yes? Retardation department?

he's in mississippi, that place is no joke backwards nightmaresville. legit 3rd world country status

>Want to start an industrial rock/dark wave band
>Live in England
>Everyone here who plays rock just wants to make wanky Tame Impala-esque "psychedelic" shit, or wants to start an "indie" band like the Arctic Monkeys

Fuck
