Ignore modern christian music like christian rock, it's dogshit and unchristian, just listen to classical instead.

stop wasting your time on christianity user. open your eyes and stop using a false promise as a copying mechanism and life guide for this strange world, you'll get furtherest in life when you realise you're your own god and that every figment of your being revolves around you, your energy and contributions, not what some "god" in the sky has planned for you.
Here you go OP
What right do you have to mask your "realization" as freeing him from anything, as if the Christian life is making him unhappy? If anything he will be much better off not dreading existence every day, even under false belief, which is impossible to escape at least to some degree. All of you complain about "copes" without presenting arguments on why coping is bad.

from wikipedia:
>In the Autumn of 1954, Stockhausen conceived the idea of composing a mass for electronic sounds and voices. According to his official biographer, Stockhausen regarded this mass as a sacred work written from personal conviction, and asked his mentor, the director of the WDR electronic studio Herbert Eimert, to write to the Cologne archbishop's Diocesan office for permission to have the work performed in the Cologne Cathedral. Stockhausen was bitterly disappointed when the request was refused on grounds that loudspeakers had no place in church (Kurtz 1992, 82).

That's an interesting one. Even beyond the "I Love You Jesus Christ" thing. The lyrics are so strange that it's hard to grab on to any definitve message. But I would say that ITAOTS should be fully compatible with Christian teachings if people are willing to dive deep into Jeff's weirdness.
Was “Song Against Sex“ about the dangers of gay sex, pre-marital sex, and porn, but also seeing the beauty in sex? Or did I miss the point?
I'd say that's for sure a good interpretation of the third verse. The other two are harder for me to wrap my head around.
I never thought about that interpretation
Interesting observation user
Little Kid and Trees Community are my favorites
never thought of Dean as being christian. he sings about god, walls of jericho, etc but he also sings french montana lyrics, or songs about doing drugs and killing people. seems very post-post-modernist in that sense.
That song is about sex as masturbation, in all the forms that can take, though I find a strong overtone of molestation specifically in that song
