I come in your moms butthole with my penis. its great dude you should try it sometime
Russian scene is amazingly bad on the surface. Pop artists here somehow manage to be even more shitty and annoying than the worldwide ones. Our underground scene is pretty good tho
Portugal. It's pretty much non-existent.
nice try fbi glow nigger
what’s our underground scene? you mean all this post-punk shitty bands that sound the same?
Paris.
techno scene is great
youtube.com
New Zealand
Hipster art music scene, where most of the music is either incredibly bland or just straight awful
Less cool metal scene full of misogynistic dickheads
Corny hip hop for the most part
Toronto had a booking shoegaze and post-punk scene but it seems like every shoegaze artist quit the genre to do techno and every post-punk band made it big and moved to the US.
Nowadays everything is varying types of psychedelic rock/heavy psych.
Heres some favorites of mine.

Minneapolis. There are a lot of Jazz and Classical musicians around here. There are also some alternative rock bands. The only really famous people from here are Prince and Bob Dylan. The only other somewhat notable band I can think of is Soul Asylum, but that's not saying much.
How about hip hop? Lots of authentic stuff there
Check out Another Heaven, Double Grave, Havana Sleeve and Lazear if you haven't already. MSP has a weird scene but I love it.
i’m not a fan of hip hop and i think that the most “obscure” russian hip hop that i know is oвcянкин. i kinda like him.

If were talking about obscure Minneapolis bands then I would recommend Atomic Cafe. They have a psychedelic/indie rock thing going for them. The keyboardist was in my creative writing class senior year.
Thanks for the rec!
I dig it, I'm Somewhat similar to most of the links I posted so check em out if you're into that sound.
washington
I dunno I don't go outside (regardless of pandemic)
Madison, Wisconsin.
No clue but I can't imagine anything special. We've never had a very good music scene.
I wish I lived in South London instead
From what I gather there's a pretty big metalcore/hardcore scene in the DMV
Panic at the Disco copycats lol
im from balkan
pop-folk is by far the biggest, followed by pop, then rap among urban young guys, indie rock and indie pop are niche, and then metal is very niche
Melbourne
Full of intentionally untalented pseudo "dolewave" (aka lazy jangle a la MacDeMarco/Pavement) bands made up of rich kids who hate their parents for being rich and providing for them. Majority too afraid of judgement so never put any real effort into their music or even learning their instrument properly, just in a band for the sake of being in a band.
The few bands of quality rarely see any success because Australian music industry mostly only supports tacky pop stuff that is forgotten about within a few years. The best artists move overseas/sign for international labels.
My band is looking to do a European tour and I've always wanted to go to Croatia (my lineage comes from Split)
Is it worth it for a noise rock band to go to the Balkans or should I just hold out and go on a vacation sometime?
idk you'd probably do well in zagreb or belgrade, there's a lot of art hoes that go to anything. but it depends on how much it would cost you
We're going to the UK for a friend's wedding and the whole band got invited so we figure we might as well go around the continent while we're there.
Would probably be looking at playing close to 30 shows around Europe. Anywhere else in the Balkans worth it or do you just think Zagreb, Belgrade and then move on to Italy?
Do Bucharest, Ljubljana or Sarajevo have anything goin on?
Sry for piling on the questions btw just don't get to talk to locals in that area very often
Possum sounds like Rush on acid. Seriously the singer sounds like Geddy Lee. It's Toronto, so maybe it is him and he's been hiding behind an obscure indie band to avoid media attention while having a creative outlet.
Their shows are fucking wild. Crazy light displays and visuals. Also I've never seen Geddy Lee and the Possum singer in the same room before.
idk honestly. mgla is the biggest lesser known band that i can think of that came here recently youtu.be
Poland
Techno is top notch, some alright underground rap stuff, otherwise it's mostly shit with a few outliers

Yea the only I can think of from my area was No Joy and I know their euro tours always have at least 3 or 4 shows in the Balkans.
generally if you're actually ready for a tour on that scale someone will have got in contact and is interested in booking you for at least some of it rather than having to make all the arrangements yourself. otherwise you might have fun but you'll end up out of pocket most likely. booking 30 shows is pretty hard to get anyone to actually come to them unless you already have a decent reputation. what kind of attendance are you getting if you tour in US?
Are you serious? It's one of Nu Jazz hotspots. Look up 30/70 collective or zeitgeist freedom energy exchange as an example.
