>10/10 from Fantano (highest rated of the year) >7.5/10 from Scaruffi (second highest rated of the year) >3.87 on RYM (second highest rated of the year)
Now that the dust has well and truly settled can we all agree this album was actually kino as fuck? It's nice to have some genuinely abrasive noise rock getting some attention amongst all the zoomer pop and memerap bullshit that plagues our current music scene. Can't wait for their next album :)
Fantastic album. Shame Yas Forums is so fucking contrarian.
Ayden Mitchell
good album but at times it just lacks riffs in favor of "atmosphere", which it could bridge the gap between these more effectively
Nathaniel White
Too busy relistening to Atomizer.
Brody Morgan
Daughters is as close to industrial as Radiohead is close to Serialist music.
James Cook
based
Gabriel James
False, but cute. At least you got to use the word Serialist amirite ?
Justin Morgan
doesn't even make sense dipshit
Xavier Thompson
Ok industrial tourist. Tell me more about what I know and don't know and how Coil is your favorite band. Because Daughters isn't anywhere near industrial.
Cameron Smith
>calls someone a tourist lmao, tell me more about the 2 days you spent on rym
Grayson Phillips
One of the greatest comeback albums ever. Self-titled was great and all, but the way they switched up their style for this is really fucking impressive.
Jaxson Morgan
agree, i dunno if i like it more than hell songs, but i like it a lot
Jaxon Howard
uff
Brandon Rodriguez
>Radiohead >Serialist
the only band you know and the only obscure genre you can name. how the fuck does radiohead have anything to do with serialism?
Xavier Sullivan
Masterpiece
Nathaniel Reyes
Well then goo goo gaga bitch
Levi Bailey
They were better as a grind band.
Brayden White
This album should be right up my street and has been rec'd by people whose opinions I value but I just don't get it. It sounds like Idles trying to be Swans. What am I missing?
Cooper Fisher
the lyrics are a huge reason the album has such an unsettling atmosphere ... maybe you haven't been paying too much attention to them?
Evan Jenkins
People are just upset that Fantano liked it It's universally considered good and they can't take that
Jaxon Roberts
Fair enough, I probably haven't. I'll give it another go and pay closer attention to them. Thanks
Jose Murphy
>complains about memerap >posts a memerock album
Very funny, OP.
Julian Hill
One of the best albums of the decade for sure. I saw them live last year and they were so good. Jerome's Dream opened for them who were also great.
This is not an industrial album. You could argue its influenced by industrial but it's much closer to noise rock and post-hardcore
