All fucking punks deserve to bite the curb. Fuck them. Give me more autotune and trap.

OP here! You're right, if this is what rock is in 2020 we deserve autotuned trap.

The amount of sheer talent is amazing at this point, walk into almost any club in the world and there are unique and inventive players going nuts. The problem is the media is out to kill whites and people with talent (men) so it won’t happen, literal NPCs on this board waiting for Anthony Fantano and Pitchfork to tell them what to like. Which to a degree I understand, for anything to be cultural and connect people it needs a cohesive cultural significance. The only place you’ll get even a small amount of that with any good music is the underground now.

If they wanted that they'd go out to bars and clubs for the live scene. That's not what they want. They want to build an image of sophistication and depth around themselves which is why they latch on to these tastemaking curators. Not like this place is any better in that regard.

Everyone said rap was it when TPAB dropped and rock was officially dead, but there hasn't been a significant rap album since that one. It seemed so promising: all the best rappers had the stage set to enter the golden age of rap, but they all failed really badly. What happened? Rap came and went as a pretty shitty fad.

I’m about ready to pick up a guitar and start writing music. I’ve had it with music nowadays bros.

Lol dream on dumdum

Define significant.

brilliant counterargument

lost it's significance. Genre devolved became nothing more than music meant to be played as memes and party music

Alright cool.
Name literally any significant album since tpab.

Already happened with nu metal

yeah but it wasn't good enough. nowadays we have stuff like trap metal and 100 gecs

There are none.

Sorry that art ho didn't wanna fuck you
Have you ever talked to a poor young black person? Most of them like all of these artists except for Tyler and new Kanye. The only reason they're biggest audience is middle class white kids is because middle class white kids are the biggest consumers of music in general.
