Aren't you a little too young to be posting on the internet?

Bach bashers trying to insult other people is hilarious, like someone making fun of people who enjoy coffee while literally eating their own shit.

To thr guy from last thread, listen to the Bartered Bride tonight.

Okay, we have to settle this once and for all

>Erich Wenk "Es ist genug" Elias (Mendelssohn)
um

I meant concerti u retards, is there a difference between concerto and concerti

they're on equal footing, along with ballets

Why choose one when you can have both? >Symphony in Four Parts with Viola Obbligato

Concerto- singular
Concerti- plural

youtube.com/watch?v=CcoflNM5NqM
oops

FUCK MUSICALS

Stop typing like a faggot

Holy based

>Fuck symphonies
wat

Symphonies are kitsch as fuck
Concerti(specifically concerti grosso) and SQs are better. Everything that can be said with a hundred instruments can be just as easily said with 4 or 3

>concerti grosso
you realize that's even larger than a symphony right?

A symphony is a full orchestra

A concerto is a full orchestra with a singular soloist

A concerti grosso is a full orchestra (the Ripieno in this case) and the concertino which is a group of a soloists.

A concerti grosso would be the largest of these.

If your argument is String quartet/quintet is better than orchestra music, that's another argument.

But when you say concerti grosso AND string quartet which are two VASTLY different sized performances im just not sure what the fuck you're trying to say.

trying to do polyphonic music again. i'll try to do something every day you cant stop me mutants

> he doesn't know
The tutti of a concerto can easily be transposed on piano rather than played by an orchestra(which is done more often than not); the defining factor of the concerto is the lead instrument, the orchestra is merely accompaniment. All a concerto grosso does is more voices(all of which are distinct, instead of the pompus mess that is a symphony)

lmao you're a moron, many symphonies were written for piano too

Brahms for example.

The difference between a concerto tutti and a symphony is that the tutti is explicitly written to be simple and playable on just about any instrument you can think of(this is so they don't take focuse away from the solo), symphonies often require shit like two people on one piano to work

all i'm taking away from this is that you're a simple man that likes simple things, too much going on confuses and angers you.

You do you fampai
