Any USA made guitar that isn't a Fender or Fender clone then

Bedroom player thinking about upgrading amp after buying a cheap one.

I was thinking of getting a Katana 50? Or will getting a cheap, low wattage, tube amp be better?

I just started playing and I'm already getting a little better. I still can't switch between chords and stuff really smooth but it feels kinda good to be able to play a riff from one of your favorite albums

/gg/ cant afford suhrs and fender utlras tho so >$3000 for a used suhr!?
>well looks like im gonna buy a used les paul standard for $1500 instead
>only a gibson is good enough

Thinking about upgrading from a Beaner strat since I have some money now. Feels kind of boring to just move up to an american strat. What are telecasters like?
Fuck I wish everything wasn’t closed

Guys, what's your opinion on schecter guitars? Is there something to worry about? what was your experience, when playing on one

>Replacing your cheap practice amp with a cheap practice amp

Are you gigging? Are you jamming with friends? Wait until you at least have a chance of doing one of those and then get the amp that fits your style. If you haven't even done of those once you don't know what you really want or need. If you're fucking around in your bedroom and recording, a PC interface and an amp sim sounds just as good as a katana and cost a lot less. Granted it can only get as loud as the speaker you connect to the interface's monitoring out, but that's probably more than you need anyways.

Good deal on the used market, shitty deal brand new. MIM fender quality.

Get the katana. It'll give you a lot more options, ability to play thru headphones, and the ability to record line out if you need to. What matters most is whats usable for you right now.

sry, missclicked mention.

sweet.

>Music is fun but guitars are tools. Tools that warp, break, or don't work properly in the first place are junk no matter how much you like the logo and paying extra for a tool that comes fucked up is just retardation.
>So is giving disreputable tool brands with clear and present design flaws a chance because "dude new things lol".

i dunno why people buy gibson electrics either. they're clearly an acoustic guitar and mandolin company with no clue how to make a good electric.

Nice acoustic man. How is it?
You enjoying it? I know I'm enjoying my LP.

katanas sound like shit live and good directly recorded

going with this guy . wait until you need an amp instead of just wanting one

>be you
>buy low watt tube amp
>"come jam with us user"
>amp is on full fart mode
>still drowned out by the drummer
>trade for katana 50
>still too quiet until the amp has no headroom left
>oh darn you should have bought the katana 100

Haven't had much time to play it. Working from home but I did play for about 30 minutes on my lunch break. God damn this thing is nice.

nice, that shipped pretty quick

Thoughts and opinions? Would this be overkill for a first electric guitar? It's sorta like a Jaguar.

Attached: GuildS200Thunderbird.jpg (1200x675, 70.07K)

not a fan of the shape, but it's a guild, I'm sure it sounds fine

Holy based

>Would this be overkill for a first electric guitar?
Yes

If you can buy it for less than $600 and you're an adult with a job it's perfectly fine.

Do it

if you're going to buy an ugly offset, at least get a Firebird

So, this Asian shitplank is good because it says Guild on the headstock, but other Asian shitplanks aren't?

I've been trying to form a band with no luck. I'll try your advice and wait for a bit more.

it is just a plank of wood that holds the strings, nut, tuners, pickups, and bridge

the wood doesn't matter at all but the rest of that does and guild uses better shit than budget cast tuneomatics and EMGs like schecter

I've actually wanted a gibson Firebird for longer, but this was a bit cheaper, and it appeals to my desire for a weird, offset, vintage-like guitar with a good sound.

Also based Muddy Waters is famous for it.

People seriously still believe this?

Should have got a dean trans am.

>he doesn't take the backplate off his strat for maximum tone
>he doesn't tune his strat a half step down for max tone
>he doesn't lower the pickups on his strat for max tone
>he didn't properly intonate his strat for max tone
>he doesn't make his strat low action for max tone and playability
>he doesn't adjust the truss rod to make the neck straight for max tone
>he doesn't scoop the mids on his amp for max tone
>he doesn't apply a mix of vibrato, reverb, chorus, and delay to his clean sound for maximum tone

never going to make it. if you own a strat you HAVE to do these things.

The other top guitars that I want are said Gibson Firebird, and a Yamaha Flying Samurai, either a vintage sg model, or the newer sgv line.

Rhythm is all over the place

ok hitler

Listen to the other anons, and practice on it until you know what you need. Don’t fall for shills and consoomers to buy a katana 50 when you already have a practice amp. It took me 7 years to know I need a mid watt tube amp and only now I am searching for one. You might not need 7 years to figure out, for me it’s just a hobby after all. I have a Mustang I v2, really shitty amp but I learned to play gatar with it and that was the point of it.

It's all in the hands brah

When people want you to man up, but you just want to play the blues on an American SSH strat

What about this?

Had no idea this guitar existed, but this definately looks like something I'd want next.

Attached: DeanTransAm.jpg (1600x1200, 235.32K)

Its pretty neat.

That's just wild

i want a red one with a NOID sticker on it

>takes 2 gibson designs and combines them
"yup we are innovative"
also slight iceman vibe
fags

I used to be open to oddball designs. This was at the top of the list. These days, just give me a Strat and I'm happy.
