i love noise but prefer power electronics

Autistic people who find it soothing

Nothing wrong with people liking shit

I listen to it for the exact opposite reason

i think noise is funny, but the funniest noise is gerogerigegege

No different to Black metal

Harsh noise is about texture more than anything else from what I can tell. I don't like it, but I'm glad there's some weirdos who do.
Noise elements in other genres of music on the other hand, I really like. It vastly expands the range of emotion available to the artist by lending them the power to make the listener emotionally or physically uncomfortable.

best use of noise in a pop album

Noise is audio dialectic, it's shit. But there are always people milling about in the forum willing to entertain charlatans especially during decadent times.

I just like it cause it's extreme sounding and gives me tinnitus. I like destroying myself

>Noise is audio dialectic, it's shit
wtf can you possibly be meaning by this?

this guy gets it

noise is best compared to food. it's a texture, adding it to another genre can make it that much more interesting. noise by itself can make for an interesting vessel of communication emotion, take dreamcrusher for example.

Noise isn't music.
The sound of rainfall on your window isn't music either, but don't you like to listen to it?

It's all music if you're taking time to appreciate the sound.

Filtered

Yes and I do.
The threshold of entry is low, even lower than vaporwave and that genre is ass. But you have more potential to make something incredible with what you have.

the distinction between music and sound art in a post-modern context is completely pointless.

noise is as much of an umbrella term as "rock"

that album is so good.

Noise is more effective as performance art than as music, honestly. I can't listen to even a second of it when I'm alone but I've seen some pretty inspired noise performances with creative use of mic placement/medium/sound design that, while not aurally pleasing in the traditional sense was very entertaining to watch and experience.

Hipsters and the mentally ill.

This. The audio you hear in The Matrix the moment when Neo screams after touching the mirror and it takes over his body... that shit gets me every time.

I like listening to some harsh noise sometimes the same way I like listening to ambient music. It's decent background noise on occasion.
You don't need to listen to it loudly

Yeah its shit. Its pretty much the only genre I completely hate.

billie ellish looks so yike now WTF

anyone who complains about noise after having heard one or two Merzbow tracks should try some other stuff before writing off the entire genre as garbage. "3" by Pita is an incredible track and a great example of what noise can be. youtu.be/FsDwynKAFPo

Look, I can see that you might find it a little hard to listen to if you’re still in middle school or god forbid high school, but there should be no excuse after that. There’s nothing inherently different about noise that you wouldn’t find elements of with metal, skramz / crust punk, or more experimental and ambient music. Noise and power electronics are practically normie genres at this point, and they’re far from inaccessible if you aren’t a fucking top-40 coomer brainlet.
Is Yas Forums just made up of middle schoolers? Why does noise of all genres have a reputation as edgy and crazy when in reality it’s all pretty tame? How the fuck are people still incapable of experience the wide range of genres and what music has to offer?

Autistic and completely correct
