Nebjula and Fu Manchu, two very consistent Stoner Rock bands.
Also obligatory mentions of Stoned Meadow of Doom and Stoned Meadow of Doom 2
Really like the sound of the obsessed
Fu Manchu are a must I reckon
Favvorites out of my head in no particular order:
Truckfighters - Mania / Phi
Electric Wizard - Black Mass / Dopethrone / Time to Die
Astroqueen - Into Submission / Buffalo Split (only the Astroqueen songs)
Slo Burn - Amusing the Amazing
Dozer - various albums
Elder - Lore / Relectrions of a Floating World / Dead Roots Stirring
Mars Red Sky - that one album
Fuzz - I / II
Ty Segall - Most his stuff except acoustic
Sasquatch - that one really good album
Baby Woodrose - Third Eye Surgery
QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf / Like Clockwork / Rated R
Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats - Blood Lust
Windhand - Soma / Griefs Eternal Flower / Eternal Return
Powder for Pigeons - most their albums
Sons of Otis - Paid to Suffer
Kadavar - Rough Times / Abra Kadavar / For the Dead Travel Fast ( the newest, it fucking smashes)
And the best band of them all
Taint - The Ruind of Nova Roma / All Bees to the Sea / Secret and Lies
>Sons of Otis - Temple Ball
Never heard that one, will try.
I recently sold my purple limited edition of Seismic on Discogs, it is such a shit album
You don't need more than this.
>nebula
>consistent
you mean eddie consistently shooting up every dollar he earned
And that is?
Yeah, I didn't bother with them past "songs for worship"
King gizzard - infest the rats nest
Bumperino
Elder is fucking overrated
yeah elder is shit
only the GOAT stoner album
I'm being an elitist cunt here but I've got some acquaintances who don't listen to much heavy stuff and swear by Elder and reckon it's godtier but whenever I hear them I think there's some fucking good stoner metal out there and this is not it.
I've tried to get into them but it just doesn't happen.
youtube.com
Firestone/Truckfighters Split
Best "stoner" song of all time
Melvins - Lysol
Boris - Amplifier Worship
Bongripper - Satan Worshipping Doom
Belzebong - Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves
Earth - Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version
Burning Witch - Crippled Lucifer
try this op, it gets old but it stands out to me whenever I think of stoner fuzz. Groovy af
no one talks about this beauty anymore
also this youtube.com
much preferred the fuzzy catchy shit to the drony slow shit
don't worry about Elder
Woops didn't see this before posting.
Nice list bro, nice fucking list. I haven't listened to Earth or Burning Witch. Should I?
Hah, beat you to it.
Yeah, they're good shit. Burning Witch is just Sunn O))) before they changed their name. Earth are legendary.
get a load of pic related.
The Pink Floyd leanings are the shit
>saint vitus
Oof.
will try
thoughts on new one?
I've listened to all their albums already, boring as sin and pink floyd leaning in the most superficial way possible, captures nothing of what makes floyd good
I know St Vitus aren't hipster, sorry
I like Elder, but they are definitely overrated. I can barely remember one of their albums when it ends. Don't want to diss them too much though, because they're a solid band.
Im seconding Windhand, its really good shit.
You are missing We Live for wizard.
sludge/stoner is where its at
Honestly I have heard this a million times yet I can't remember a single track.
However, Dead Roots Stirring, I can get behind that, it's got this Welcome to Sky Valley vibe about it that I like.
I love Mastodon but Lore just doesn't do it for me.
I feel like Elder has no real identity they are a bit copycatish. Not to bash, I've really enjoyed it while baked like when they drift off like they do and then slam the fuzz back on you it feels great but in general they're unmemorable.
Just my opnion.
didn't hear it yet
>We live
Yeah, I like it good tracks on it. I think the overall listen through isn't that great though
