I met Tommy Wright the 3rd.

I was at the premiere show of the 3-6 Mafia Reunion tour in south Memphis(technically south haven MS), had some shitty nosebleed tickets way high up in the arena, after watching the opening acts (yin yang twins, then bone thugs n harmony) after that, it’s intermission time, I grab some more beers and since security is lax as fuck and the arena wasn’t filled at capacity I decide to try and get some seats closer to the stage, and I walk way down to a much better seat, set my shit down, and I see walking up the stairs out towards the main hall with the concession stand someone who looks almost just like Tommy Wright the 3rd. I figured it’s worth a shot to investigate, I follow him up, I get a better look and there’s no doubt it’s him, being the faggot I am, I get kinda shaky, I kinda murmur “Tommy Wright the 3rd...?!?” And he looks over at me and says “wazzup playa”, after that I’m kinda speechless, say holy shit, you’re a legend I can’t believe your here or something along those lines, ask for a picture, and he obliged me. I told him I had messaged him on insta, and he said to hit him up and enjoy the show, and then I walked back to my seat, and he was sitting a couple seats down towards the floor. I got to see him again as I drove out the parking lot he was just walking around. Weeks later I hit him up on insta and he hooked me up with some signed mixtapes for me and my friend, and a signed poster and a drink holder.

I wish I hadn’t been so socially autistic in that moment, felt like I kinda fucked it up desu, but he was a really cool guy. It really surprised me because only like me and one or two other people noticed him in this venue in Memphis at a 3-6 mafia concert of all places.

Sorry for the long drawn out story, but that’s my experiencing meeting a famous musician

Fran Healy (Travis) after a show in 2006, super cool dude, talked with me for several minutes, one of the nicest musicians I've ever met.

Deryk Whibley backstage in 2004: Very friendly, surprisingly quiet, but was with a girl, so signed something and that was that. Also 'met' Stevo the same night, as in he walked right past me with two girls under each arm.

Kelly Osbourne same night, was much more preoccupied with a friend of hers who was sitting on the stairs puking.

The entirely of U2 in 2001 after a show, all chill dudes, fuck you if you don't like them, Bono came out and chatted with everyone, all the members were cool, Larry Mullen did pause from signing things for a minute to yell at everyone to back the hell up; in his defense some people were getting a little too drunk and loud.

Tegan and Sara 2006ish, before they really broke, surprisingly very funny, if not slightly standoffish at the time.

Talked to Jamie Stewart at the bar before a Deerhoof concert way back. He was very nice and soft spoken. He complemented and was really thankful for my Xiu Xiu tattoo and we talked about pedals, synths and poetry for like 15-20 minutes even though he probably had better things to do. Amazing guy. And really handsome in person
