Finally was able to finish the record this track is one.
The choral effect is nice, and the guitar almost comes off as an organ which is pretty cool. Very ethereal tune, really dig it.
I wasn't expecting this to work the way it did with that synth, but the mixing and vocals really make it. Gives a cool gloomy indie vibe. I'm into it.

How does it suck?

we're not in the 90's anymore. black metal doesn't have to sound like complete shit. you can still make it lofi even if it's stereo.
also, your drummer is the only one kinda playing black metal but we can't even hear that properly because of the dogshit quality. what the bass (is there even one playing?) and guitar are doing is just boring sound experiments. if you actually took more than 10 minutes thinking about the 'riffs' of these songs, you should quit right now.
this isn't psychedelic. it's fucking boring

music should sound like whatever the people playing wanting it to sound like, you absolute moron. "it's not the 90s anymore lmoa" fuck off.

>opinion means anything
I wouldn't have pegged it as black metal myself, it does sound rather weird and unique. felt it was a bit too repetitive for my taste, but not too bad. drums i can hear just fine, dont listen to the other guy. but they do have a very distorted sound, which is not a bad thing. i could think of some aggressive stuff with that sound

Keep exploring these ideas it's a cool blend of genres, I'd like to hear even more pronounced guitar or if the vocals were providing counterpoint to the guitars -- definitely not a sound to stop exploring yet
