Based take
I was very excited when I heard this, MGMT really swung back from their self titled

This wasn’t that different from what they did on the self titled, the production is just more cleaner and sleeker

true, but it really does make a world of difference

probably not, but this was a really strong departure for pop music. give it up for acid and shrooms senpai

it peaked with lady gaga

Best thread

I also really like this album. Had a very beach boys vibe on a couple of the tracks. Siberian breaks is an awesome song.

It's working in the (WORRRRRR KING INNNNNN YOUR BLOOOOOOOD)

i really hate MGMT i'm not gonna lie.
i like Worm Mountain by The Flaming Lips, and i think they were featured on that track. but beyond that, they suck.

The second half of oracular spectacular is really what got me into them.
I like the flaming lips alot too. Kinda confused with the career moves Wayne has been doing these last coiple of years but soft bulliten and yoshimi are fantastic psych albums.

It peaked in the 80's. This album is alright for its time, though.

I’d say they are the spiritual successors to Flaming Lips and Pond after them
