Most boomers who were rock fans pre grunge who hate grunge, don't hate it because it's "too much" they hate it because the attitude is what they deem pussy music. They don't understand glorifying being a whiny loser when their heroes were guys like Robert Plant and Ozzy Osbourne who were winners in every way despite being total degenerates, they were likable cult of personality guys, grunge guys were whiny losers, that's what they don't like.
It also comes down to mostly Nirvana, Nirvana is the band most people like that don't like, AIC and to some extent all the other "grunge" bands are liked because unlike Nirvana they displayed musical talent, like the rock bands of the 70's-80's who played their instruments well.
That being said, I'm pretty sure Fatboy Trunk is one of those anti grunge people, he sure as fuck doesn't like it better than the shit he grew up with but I don't think he hates it.
