I simply refuse to play any music around people. Every time I get asked to, I play the weirdest shit I have and I say to them "this is what happens if you ask me again". I make it very clear that we don't listen to the same kind of music and they should not bother asking me to play any music.

Opera and classical music. I used to get embarrassed over the screechy Appalachian folk type and girly pop music but I got over that but I can't play opera on speakers without cringing. I'll probably get over non vocal classical music but I'll probably never be able to play opera.
