I love the classics Indian Summer and SDR as much as the next guy but i feel like the emo community shits on the 2000s stuff too much (especially that god awful r/emo subreddit)
also heres a 80's emocore playlist if anyone wants it

Are they any modern bands doing raw, early post-hardcore/emo? I always loved the DC sound, and I really dislike polished softer whinier emo. Not trying to talk shit on it, I just couldn't word it better.
imo the only good FoB shit was PAX AM days.
Broke up with my gf for over a year this weekend, this album finally makes sense lyrically

most are early 90's DC area stuff, some late 80's.
Is there anything else like Drive Like Jehu and Moss Icon?
This is the most recent example of a band doing an emocore sound I enjoy. They're mostly influenced by a late 90's-early 00's band called Small Brown Bike

i tend to really like emo instrumentals but hate to the bones the fucking vocals, you know the ones when they're consistently out of tune and screaming to your ears
so, do you know emo with vocals in tune?
Why is American Football good? I like a lot of math rock and emo stuff, but for some reason American Football always seemed mediocre. Does it click at some point?
>Came out a year after TDAG
>Almost as good
