Perhaps, you have to listen to it on a good headset I feel to get the best experience by far. Can't think of a single album since that has had nearly as good guitar interplay as what Moore and Ronaldo accomplished on it.

For the band, yes. It marked the moment where their songwriting shaped up enough to match their raw talents. It didn't do a whole lot that they weren't already conceptually fucking around with though, it's less that it was more innovative than records like Sister or EVOL and more that it was just really fucking good.
