It would have been significant before 12 tone equal temperament, as some keys would sound more or less dissonant than others
But since all keys are equal now, it just doesn't fucking matter
Pick a key at random and throw in other notes when you feel like it
Any key being inherently better than any other key is an old timey meme from a few hundred years gone by
No key conveys any real emotion on it's own, nor does it prop up that emotion better than any other key could, that is a meme from way back when keys were not equal that got carried over
