Not any album in particular, but discovering shoegaze, folk music and black metal was really amazing. Sometimes you don't know how good music can be until you discover a sound that really resonates with you.

This, in 1977, on vinyl (yes I'm oldfag).
I had "heard" music before, but this was the first time I really listened to music, got some of the nuance, understood how the instruments played off of each other. Then the ESB soundtrack came out and straight blew my mind.

I know it's not as exciting as some modern pop album, but you should really do yourselves a favor and listen to it in its entirety. There's a good chance you'll be listening to a lot more Bach if you give it a shot.
