Barre Chords

Specifically F major barre chord, is it just a matter of doing it over and over and increasing finger strength to nail it, or is it purely technique? I achieve it on and off, but its usually the b string is not hit or the low e string is not hit. If i ever hit them all (im talking about the index finger) it is with such herculean effort that it renders the experience miserable, or is that how strength is acquired?

It's technique. It does not take much strength. I'm serious.

Try the thumb-over Hendrix grip. It works for some people. Building strength is quite simple- Practice. 2 hours a day for 10 days.

Literally impossible

Also lower the action of your guitar. It might be fucking you up.

kek

Its half and half. I did it "wrong" for a while, then learned how to use my thumb correctly and get the right hand positions. But I also got stronger in the process.

You'll get it eventually. When I first started trying to do it I had a period of a few days where I thought it simply wasn't something my hand was capable of doing and that I would never get it down. Now I can do it without much trouble. It just took a couple weeks of repeated practice to get comfortable.

Yep, if it hurts your wrist you're probably doing it wrong

>lower the action
please explain
yea i feel my finger does not have the right structure to get the low e b and high e all at the same time, unless i fuckin mash my finger against them all causing me to not want to play after
