A lot of artists have rightfully complained about music streaming and what it's doing to their long-term career. Basically, streaming makes artists much more easy to shift through and easier for a label to create hype for a brief second rather than having to develop an artist. Not to mention, it means album sales don't mean shit anymore. Billie is rightfully brought into this conversation because streaming services have used her in order to offset the common criticisms of streaming, despite said streaming platforms giving this girl a fuckton of promotion which entails a long-standing career most artists will never get.
