Yes I do.
You ever hear the Too Late, Too Late collection? It’s a bunch of forgotten singles and alternate recordings of old blues, and it goes on for ten or so volumes. High recommend
Absolutely, what should I check out?
Lightnin Hopkins, Abner Jay, Mississippi John Hurr

yeah that’s a shame that you got a lot to get on your way home
It's good. Some phenominal cuts and really fantastic names on it
yes sir Bob, I do.
I play blues piano fairly often but I don't find that I listen to blues that much anymore (I used to listen to it a lot, which helped me develop a feel for playing it). For me it's more fun to play than it is to listen to because it's not a very innovative genre the way jazz is.
But everything on Document records is fantastic so it's no surprise really
Six letters in my name so

I’ve been needing some old blues to keep me company as of late. Some highlights have been listening to Blind Lemon Jefferson, Blind Willie Johnson, and Mississippi John Hurt. Just recently discovered the album Long Steel Rail by Bill Jackson. That’s fantastic.
Boney Hips Hopkins…
A blues man needs a nickname
And everybody calls me Two Shoes
Cause i always wear two shoes
I know it's not much of a nickname
But by the time i got around to getting my nickname
All the good ones were taken
Take for example Blind Lemon Lipschitz
Blind Lemon Lipschitz gouged out his own eyes with his thumbnails
So he could be called blind lemon
It's true, don't laugh
He felt the very essence of the blues, calling him from within
And he felt that contract too
If you like John Hurt check out Fred McDowell
Old gumbo dupree. As a Louisianan this fits me. Blues is nice. Leadbelly and guthrie's we shall be free is goodly fun
I will!
