Why isn't the Offspring respected nearly as much as say, Queen, when their songs have as much production value and are enjoyed by a comparable amount of people?

Queen is old enough and ended suddenly enough thanks to aids that non-fans only remember their best work, meanwhile the offspring got a lot of radioplay and thus their more mediocre songs are still within the collective memory.
Queen was far more pretentious and one step above dadrock, meanwhile the offspring's audience is largely made up of depressives and nobody who isn't a depressive wants to be associated with them as a result.
Their songs had a lot more lyrical content which means detractors have an easier time cherry-picking their worse songs for criticism.
They aren't nearly as attractive.
Forever to be associated with an era because their audience "outgrew" them, by which I mean either got over their depression and distanced themselves from former colleagues or killed themselves.
