bruh that's a 4/10, get that shit off of Yas Forums, there's a reason everyone forgot about it. nothing shabaka has put out will be remembered in a decade

Are you the guy who posted this in /iemg/?

Sorry OP, you can't like this album because no one on Yas Forums listens to contemporary Jazz. So when anyone brings up Shakaba Hutchings or Kamashi Washington they get defensive. People will shit on this post, yet can't name five good jazz albums from the last decade.

no, but i listened to it because he suggested it.

Cool, i'm gonna listen to it as well. What am I in for?

Yas Forums just sleeps on Vangelis so hard, it's not even funny.
Even more than your basic pleb who just knows him as "the Blade Runner guy"

very rich, bass heavy without being niggabass, interesting vocals.

>yet can't name five good jazz albums from the last decade.
Because there were no good jazz albums from the last decade

Thanks for proving my point.

I wish Yas Forums would care about jamaican music, but then I remember what happens to things Yas Forums likes and how they're discussed.
So in a way, I'm glad Yas Forums doesn't care about jamaican music.

Shabaka and Kamasi fans may be able to name five jazz albums from the last decade (likely mostly from Shabaka projects), but they can't name twenty from the last century

I like both of them, and I guarantee you I know more Jazz than you.

Fantano gave it a good review so Yas Forums immediately started spamming thread after thread about how much it sucks

>original artwork is better
It is, but it's not as easy to read and knowing how lazy your average Yas Forumstant can be with people asking sauce for albums with names in the filename, I posted the more obvious version.

unfortunate. melon should stick to reviewing pop rap and spare other genres from being associated with him.

i've seen threads on this album before and they pretty much always go like this thread, i.e. arguing about modern jazz
