Axe fx 3 vs Tube amp

If you're afraid of soldering irons then continue buying hyped digital "mimic" tech. Biasing every year? Tube amps regularly last many decades before someone even needs to pull the chassis, and even then its because electrolytic capacitors in the power section shit the bed, which will also happen with axe fx. Why do you think anyone "needs" an endless array of amp models anyway? A simple pedalboard and 2 tube amps will give you more options than most will ever need tonally. You strike me as the kind of person that keeps the volume control on their guitars at 10 100% of the time.

You gotta bias them every time you put in new tubes, if that last you decades then it's probably cause you don't play very often at all or practice smoke on the water once a year just to claim you've played before. why get a pedal board and 2 amps when you have everything in one with many amp models. how the fuck do 2 amps give you more options then having pretty much every amp. You're probably someone who believes in tone wood religiously and even more extremely than isis does to islam.

It does though, you will not hear insane differences between the models on the axe fx and a regular tube amp.

I agree, you wont hear insane differences, but I can still hear the differences when I'm playing through them, which is my point. An axe fx does not respond like a tube amp, nor can it ever sound exactly like one.

Yeah if you really value the exact sound of a tube amp and can bear with the maintenance then there's no choice but to get one. For me, I can't hear the difference.
