You are gay. That's the real redpill here.

pretty much this.
fuck off OP

Almost all American rock stars from the 60s had dads in the military, typically in intelligence. In general the 60s were one big psyop. Read "Weird Scenes Inside The Canyon"

hype has been a big part of what drives popularity, much more now than it ever has. this means that the quality of your music no longer matters. what matters now more than ever is the size of your tits or your meme-worthiness.

This also means that artists are able to ride their peak for way longer than they should, and it artificially inflates public reception of subsequent albums.

I wouldn't say so, just a conspiracy junkie who likes music. This sounds great, will check out

Oh man, you're going to love it.

The man went through decades of torture to write it so please actually buy a copy

If you haven't started learning how to make music in your younger years, you're pretty much screwed from reaching any sort of mastery of the art. One of my biggest regrets is putting off the task of learning and practicing in high school and just dreaming the days away until i got old and rusty and can't process anything like a retard. Seriously folks, get on your ass and work before it's too late, or else you'll end up coping in your art by replacing skill with crutches like irony (with its multiple layers) and pointless eccentricity to hide your glaring weaknesses.
Every single musician you know knew some solid shit by the time they hit their 20s. The late bloomer doesn't go very far. Please don't waste your time.

based post. Basically most of boomer rock is a mindfuck.

Stoner rock/metal is not a genre. Neither is any genre that is defined solely by its lyrical content or overall image.

When you break it down, it isn't that surprising. Having ex-military fathers, especially from intelligence would mean that they were all probably upper-middle class, thus affording them the opportunity to learn music and start a band.

Plus, you had the general anti-authoritarian vibe and I'm sure these kids all hated or rebelled against their parents and found the idea of forming a band a perfect way to express that contempt.

And lastly, this was the baby boomer generation. An entire generation of men who had served in WW2, America's greatest conflict, were settling down and having kids. It isn't surprising you'd find a lot of army brats.

my mom tried to get me into playing at least two different instruments, but I quickly gave them up because I was lazy and it felt like a chore ;_;

Where does Don Van Vliet land in all of this

He was a CIA handler.

I'm based and you're cringe

Drugs/pyschedelics can make your songwriting/crafting creative

Same here but parents really need to push harder with this kind of thing. Kids have short attention spans and need discipline and rules. My parents never got guitar or piano lessons for me despite my dad owning a guitar and buying me a training guitar, and him owning a keyboard, and me coming from a family full of musicians on my mums side. Really feels like I got let down hard in that department. Same thing with sports and hobbies in general, actually :(

I'm learning again now but I know I'll never reach the potential I might have had. Also, being 21 it would have been nice to be a musician in my youth but I probably won't be doing anything worthwhile until at earliest my late 20s at this point

>DUUUUUDE

Incredibly bluepilled, fuck off

Solfeggios are real, and the Greek scales were weapons.

There's only two good kinds of music
>jazz
>classical
This unironically is the truth

God, stop being such a melodramatic faggot, do something about it or shut the fuck up. Most musicians now are hitting it big in their lateish 20's- early 30's anyway, things are just different now.

Stop speaking in memes, faggot.

B O R I N G

What redpills?
Just listen to whatever the fuck you want to.

Okay, the idea that there is anything worthwhile to be gained from recreational drug use is retarded. Anybody that thinks they can write a masterpiece because they drop cid or shrooms or whatever is retarded.

>music is boring if it doesn't have deafening drums, obnoxious guitar, and repetitive simpleton tier melodies
