It is catchy heartfelt pop songs. Tbf though its still just mostly teenage love songs. The best songs are the ones that go beyond that like i know theres an answer, Thats not me as well as Caroline No and Still believe in me to some extent in that they are abit deeper than typical love songs. God only knows however is just incredible in and of itself. The others are largely teenage pop and while dont talk is dreamy and relaxing it is probably *the* shitter of the album. The arrangements are complex and lovely, and the harmonies are also lovely. These redeem some of the shittier tracks like here today, sloop john b, wouldnt it be nice and im waiting for the day that whilst catchy are quite pedestrian. I do have a soft spot for wouldnt it be nice though. Though the instrumentals are pleasant, no one would blink an eye critically if they were just part of a film soundtrack or something. Bit pedestrian.
