A modern classic

Thats not Tyranny.

virtue is better than tyranny.

I really liked it some time ago, but it gets old and boring SO FAST
Pink Ocean is still amazing tho

Not as long as Human Sadness exists.

Boring, Julian shoudlve just went totally bonkers instead he regressed and gave us Le Edgier Strokes. Dont get me wrong tho he is a god at writing pop music

Tyranny is much more cohesive as an album, has more layers instrumentally, and Human Sadness is the best song in Julian's whole discography.
Not that Virtue is bad, it's really good. Just as an album it feels like a collection of ideas connected somewhat by shared lyrics. Most of the songs are too short, their ideas are not fleshed out as much as in Tyranny's songs, they're still really fun regardless

A:
>Pink Ocean
B tier:
>QYURRYUS
>Permanent High School
>AlieNNatioN
>Pink Ocean
>Pyramid of Bones
>Black Hole
>Lazy Boy
>WWWW
C:
>Wink
>My Friend the Walls
>Pointlessness
>Leave it in My dreams
>Think Before you drink
>One of the Ones
Solid album, nothing I would skip but like I said tyranny is superior, like some of the songs here feel like neutered versions of songs from Tyranny

>Pointlessness
>C-tier
Get out

Holy shit how is it possible to be this wrong?

should be B actually I forgot how climactic it is. Confused it with Off to War, Tyranny closer, which is much more meh to me

>Human Sadness is the best song in Julian's whole discography
Woah there, kiddo. Not as long as Hard to Explain exists.

I mean I didn't say any of them weren't good, just some seemed more solid to me than others.
it's pretty good, maybe my favorite from ITI but Human Sadness is on another level

HTE isnt even the best Strokes song (which is Ode to the mets).

I used to like Human Sadness a lot. But I really wore it down and I can’t understand why people praise it that much. (I personally like Dare I Care a lot more from Tyranny.)

But Hard to Explain, I can put on any frickin time and I always jam to it.

>Hard to Explain
That isn't even the best song off of ITI. It's good, but Trying Your Luck is better. And even then, Human Sadness is just monumental compared to all their other tracks

I haven't listened to Human Sadness in a while, which I guess is why it's still fresh to me. It has its flaws, such as its kind of weak ending (imo), but its highs are amazing. Dare I Care is my second favorite, its such a great, aggressive, emotive track and there's nothing I've heard like it

>weak ending

The first time I heard Dare I Care it blew my mind. It was such a journey. I never would’ve imagined it would be The Strokes guy on it.

the studio version I mean. The live version with the more audible piano bit was a lot better in that regard, as well as the intro

dont call me stuPIIIIIIDDDD

These have been my exact thoughts on the Voidz discography so far. Not that Virtue is bad by any means, but Tyranny is so much more cohesive in terms of atmosphere, and has some of the best songs Julian has ever written. I think it just took time for the dust to settle so people could actually appreciate the album. It's definitely not the most accessible record out there.

Tyranny is much, much, better. Virtue hasn't held up as well. LIIMD, PHS, and Wink are incredible tho

based satan
took me a relisten a couple years after my first for it to click, I liked Take Me..., Human Sadness, Nintendo Blood first and then I grew to appreciate the other tracks. Johan Von Bronx in particular surprised me
lmao it should be A heh

since you forgot

All Wordz are Made Up

It's pretty great yeah

OOOHHH I BELIEVE IT
AHHHHH

>ode to the Mets
Worst song on the album mate, albeit still good.

The album itself is pretty great but the best cut is definitely endless summer.

People sleeping on We're Where We Were. Shit is absolute banger

yea even if it's muh trump it's one of the most intense and aggressive songs on the album, like it better than Pyramid of Bones honestly
