ETIQUETTE - Include correct format (artist / band, title of release, year of release, cover art, the file type (v0, 320 mp3, FLAC, etc), short description, YouTube sample, link) - Send thanks if you have downloaded something to let them know they did a good thing - Soulseek / rutracker are your friends, too - just don't argue in this thread about it
REQUESTS >I have a request! Did I... - Check the archive for a live link before requesting? - Share something first? - Google "blogspot + artist name + album name"
ARCHIVE >"I don't know how to find what I'm looking for in the archive" - Go here: >>archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/ - When searching, limit your search to the desided domain names of the links you're looking for, like so: "(desired album) (mega.nz|zippyshare.com|mediafire.com)" e.g. "atomizer mega.nz" - Make sure you type "zippyshare" and not "zippy"
Expressway Yo-Yo Dieting - Undone Harmony Following (2017) >Chopped and Screwed, Experimental Hip Hop, DJ Yo-Yo Dieting under a different name, relatively underrated compared to Dormant Mirrors
Бpaзилия - Cтpaнa Bceх Кpacoк >MPB, folk, pop rock >In 1988, brazilian president José Sarney visited the USSR. The brazilian government negotiated a tribute to the soviets with MPB artists to record music versions of soviet poems. It got recorded but never released due to the uncredited translator of the poems who went to court and prevented the release.
Novelli - Canções Brasileiras (1983) >MPB, bossa nova, jazz >only solo album from one of Clube da Esquina's most talented musicians >Sound quality is not that good but there are great songs here anyway
Mass - Labour of Love (1981) >Post-Punk (There are two different covers for the album, I believe pic related is the original but I prefer the later one. They're both in the mega though)
Sample is the intro track so it starts off slow, so you may want to skip forward about 4 mins in for it to fully get going and get a proper idea of their sound. youtube.com/watch?v=yiB41sfPIfM
folder also has paganicons and surviving you always which are essentials imo. really cool album, mike watt guest stars and jack brewer improvises poetry along with the rest of the band, making their moods up as they go.
shameless repost from /jazz/, not my share Jonathan Kreisberg- Shadowless (2011)
>Jazz, Post-bop, Fusion >Probably the best example of Kreisberg’s unique approach to jazz composition and soloing. These are complex compositions but they are also extremely approachable and even catchy. Alto player Will Vinson is the perfect saxophonist to play Kreisberg’s music and the two play together amazingly on this album.
