90s alternative is my favourite musical era by far, in both rock and pop I just feel it's leagues beyond any other decade in terms of how much experimentation and diversity of sounds there were in the mainstream. These new zoomers like Beabadoobee give me hope that the 2020s might be a "new 90s" and Gen Z will be a parallel of Gen X.
It does seem like the "30 year cycle" theory comes true. The 60s and 90s both had that spirit of great experimentation and generational rebellion, maybe the 20s will do too.
