Although I think a lot of how I feel about it is influenced by the aesthetic of minecraft. The little melody at the beginning of Subwoofer Lullaby is somehow really visual, I can't help but imagine being younger

I used to find the Minecraft soundtrack really depressing. To the point that, at 13 years old when I was friendless and hopelessly depressed, I couldn't play Minecraft with the soundtrack on because it would make me think about my life and I would start to feel suicidal. Fun times back in 2009.

What makes you think he's a Java god? From what I understand pretty much all the technical stuff in Minecraft comes from already already established algorithms that are really simple like the chunking and noise he uses. Even Minecraft's 3d voxel terrain was already done once in another game.
