I think theres a giant fallacy that a ton of people are guilty of when approaching Bladees stuff and hating it.
They critique it based on the same criteria they would critique a typical hiphop album, which ultimately sets Bladee up for failure in their minds.
This is not to say Bladee is a hiphop god and better than all before him. Just that i dont think its fair to lump him into the same realm as the hiphop people tyically enjoy since its obvious hes going for a certain sound that very few are hitting.
Its kinda like going into a shoegaze album expecting to hear a good metal album.

man, i really liked every song ecco2k made and all the features he appeared, but this album was so disappointing, i didn't like a single song except security, which after listening to again made me dislike it

his voice was overlapping everywhere and you can consider that overproduced, but the all the instrumentals were very weak (maybe except calcium) where the spectrum of sounds was very linear. i know this is sounding like some abstract bullshit but for example in black boy you had the bass complementing the lead where it left off, like the melody was right in front of your eyes but i was the bass that was giving the music a surrounding feeling, while all songs in e are missing a lower-end and it's full of high-pitched noises. considering ecco voice is also very high-pitched throughout the entire album it's a very bad combination

People have now caught up to the cloud rap scene by now and its style is familiar and safe so now is the perfect time for him to evolve past it, he can't keep making the same shit bro.

im just playing with this idea. Basically I dont think bladee deserves the demotion of "trash", but i also dont think the "fire" promotion fits either.
Maybe it would on something playboi carti or uzi or whoever else in those likes puts out.

He's right though, lol, it's the same reason people were so quick to trash that Kid CuDi album. If Bladee was some new artist and released that album on a label like Posh Isolation it would be received as such undermining the bias from hip-hop fans but also dodging any of the overpraising from fans not familiar with much music that view DG related stuff as something above the rest.
