I've given the genre more than a fair go over the years and I'd have to say Death and Bolt Thrower are probably my favourites of the genre, which I suppose just means I'm not a huge death metal fan. I dunno what it is, but the vast majority of the genre is just in very poor taste and is either wank or cartoonish gurr gurr ree ree bullshit.
