Why are so many rappers schizophrenic?
Mental illness in the black community is heavily stigmatized, so many don't talk about it or get the needed help.

What the fuck even is schizophrenia? This website throws it around so much that I honestly have no idea what it is.
Actual answer; a very serious mental illness that will completely fuck your life up.
>Difficult thinking sequentially; thoughts come up almost at random triggered by loose associations. One sentence will be about the sport boxing and the next will be about boxers, the dog breed. Low ability to be coherent.
>Hallucinations, typically auditory. Hearing voices and unreal sounds, the voices normally have a lot of substance to the point where they have recurring characters. E.G a man with a low voice is telling them they're satan and that they're out to get the schizophrenic, they tell the schizo to kill themselves. Shit like that.
>Intense paranoia. Schizophrenics will construct elaborate conspiracies, for example that people who drive red cars are following them because they're intent on hurting them. Usually these paranoid delusions come from a source; aliens, government, people they know.
>Flat affect. Schizos will have a completely distant demeanor and they'll seem entirely emotionless while describing horrible things, for example casually describing witnessing the death of a loved one.
There are other symptoms but those are the most prevalent. It fucks you up so badly that it can cause literal holes in your brain. The medications for it will take away those symptoms but they have awful side effects.

I follow the guy heavily, and his delusions caused by his autism/BPD border on schizophrenia. while 2020 seems to be going well so far for him there's really no way to be sure with him. His ramblings on twitter and Instagram (when they exist) show a deeply disturbed mind and I wouldn't be surprised if he truly does fabricate alot of what he talks about in his own head.

>claim white people turned all other races gay by forcing them to have gay sex
>claim black americans are the "real" native americans
Sure as hell sounds schizo to me.
Blacks and Jews are more predisposed to develop psychosis than individuals of other ethnicities.

there is no seeking help unless you have made up problems, some things you have to just live with
what are the side effects of the medication? i looked it up but there wasn't really a straight answer (i know its not related just curious cuz one of my friends has been diagnosed with it)
they're all different but the ones I was on ruined my attention span and made me pace all day, existing in a more manic state but without the delusions

the closest thing i can think of to a genuine schizophrenic rapper is charles hamilton because he's really fucking out there and was genuinely diagnosed with schizophrenia at one point but later was re-diagnosed with bipolar disorder
He may be a troll, but if you ever watched a handful of his livestreams you can tell something is up with him. He claimed to be diagnosed with schizophrenia but doesn’t see it as an illness

in his livestreams he's pretty coherent and smart and has a good understanding of the world
