I would love to do this but Hounds Of Love has been my favorite from age 16-19 so...
Anyways:
13 - Songs About Leonard Cohen (my mother likes it and she played it a lot, I liked it. Besides that, I didn’t really have a favorite “album”)
14 - I sort of get into popular music and I discover Bad Girls by Donna Summer. I loved it, though my favorite at the moment was MacArthur Park
15 - Cringe indie phase when I thought I was cool for listening to The Queen Is Dead and Unknown Pleasures
16 - Hounds Of Love changes my world
20 - I discover Aviary and now it’s my favorite thing ever
...
By the way, that Tori Amos album is absolutely genius, though I feel like I’ll never get it.
I don't think I have a favorite album. My favorite artists are Bob Dylan, whose music I got into when I was fifteen and Townes Van Zandt, who I got into at the age of seventeen. 23 now and they're still my top two artists. Visions of the Country is probably my favorite album not by either of them.

it amuses me greatly that you went from ITAOTS to DG to OKC. definite reversal of the traditional Yas Forumstant progression.

these are all kind of weird because they're progressions I would expect from someone browsing Yas Forums for a month not for 6+ years

I went the same way. Loved ITAOTS long before even knowing about Yas Forums. I have discovered DG shortly before joining Yas Forums (my dad, who is a rym fanatic, told me about them...), and I have discovered OK Computer only recently...
progression just means having new favorites right? because i like a lot of the music i listened years ago
I have browsed Yas Forums only for 2 years though
It must be cool to be from a music nerd family.
Yeah, same. I still absolutely adore Fallen, even. I wasn't really thinking in terms of 'all time favourite album forever' because I've never had one favourite album. I just meant a record that defined that period of your life, something that was always on rotation.
I really didn't need to make this image but I'm bored so whatever, am 22 now
started browsing Yas Forums when i was 17 (can you tell)
19 probably a tie between sunbather and built to spill - perfect from now on, but sunbather has been consistently been number 1 for a few years now (im 23)
soad gang reporting in
