not really. x wasn't even making good music when he died. why did this nigga decide to go pop? no fucking integrity baka.
probably the biggest loss for music ever. imagine what could have been
Every piece of music he made had personal meaning to him.
I agree, vro. I don't believe I will ever get over his death.
>imagine what could have been
more shitty pop and reggaeton?
What makes you think that?
His Soundcloud stuff had major potential but he strayed away from that
because that was his recent output at his time of death. he hadn't made the hard and interesting shit for a while before he got shot.
no he fucking wasnt
>getting filtered by reggaeton
he was perfecting his mainstream acceptance while still serving his core fans. his christmas mixtape is essentially the last of his soundcloud style we got, and it was fire
>getting filtered by reggaeton
I'm not being filtered, it's just ass. Shit was just put on his album to get easy Latin American streams.
17 also had some remaining SoundCloud X. It's the perfect album since he deals with subjects most other rappers won't even touch.
Back when he was an interesting artist
This song always makes me cry. RIP Jah.
I don't know a single song by this dude and I listen to current music
>6 posters
get off his dick dude
The opposite. Kurt is still heavily remembered today whereas XXXtensioncord has already been forgotten.
Why did zoomers invade this board lol
What makes you think this?
>x wasnt even making good msuic when he died
neither was kurt lmao
Literally who?
Daily reminder that the “cult of Kurt” was a marketing scheme created in the early 2000s in order to sell Nirvana’s Greatest Hits.
Kurt was also the OG clout martyr.
Music streaming. The fact that X had nowhere near the fanfare of Kurt when he was alive. Nirvana had a ton of MTV presence, radio play, press coverage for their music, awards, good acclaim for their albums, etc. during their short career. X had almost none of that. His albums were almost universally panned and most radio stations wouldn't touch him due to both his domestic abuse charges and his music being shit. Also, music streaming entails that the "rock legend" is essentially dead, since the platform makes it almost impossible for an artist to have a long-lasting or significant career.
Actually true desu, in utero isn't all that good.
cringe
What makes you say that?
not really
guys like xxxtentacion are easily replaceable
white girls already moved on to guys like roddy ricch and the likes. nobody cared about him anymore.
>guys like xxxtentacion are easily replaceable

Exactly. Streaming makes artists much more disposable than they were 30 years ago.
Jah didn’t have any of this yet had a bigger influence than Kurt ever did.
Not even close. Zoomers are incredibly scatter-brained and lose interest in artists quickly. Just look at the numbers X's final album raked in. Hint: they're terrible. His primary fan base has moved on to Roddy Ricch, Dababy, NLE Choppa, etc.
