Tried listening to the new record and it reminds me of when I was 15 and had this brief period of rejecting the rock and metal music of my early adolescence in favour of 'poptimism' and falling over myself to overrate every instance of '70s/'80s revivalist pop music. It's not even an interesting example of that, but it's currently 3.44 on RYM, so the trick obviously worked. and Billie Eilish are both better, probably Charli XCX too.
