lol with that song I'd rather ride him
Based as always.
>not posting their best song
Soilwork are pretty decent
I can't get over those vocals ): shame because they fit the vibe but they need to be dialed back juuust a wee bit
Amon Amarth is unironically really good
whats brutal in brutal death metal
Not even the best on the album

Imagine being so much of a pussy you get triggered by a tripcode
Imagine being so much of a pussy you need to report someone and then you listen to le badass evil dark metal
Post your charts.
What you should consider (if you haven't already) is Deep Purple. They were a big influence on early Judas Priest and Iron Maiden alike and are the real reason why we have falsetto lead singing and galloping guitar riffs in traditional heavy metal.

sucks*
>implying there is a definitive best
good fucking song, now lemme "twist your tail" ;)
...
Is it bad if I never felt the need for my own chart?
I already knew what it would be before hovering
Yes
Melodeath no longer sucks
Listen to dopethrone
I really don't mind you, on the contrary, I love seeing the seething replies you get but it got pretty out of hand
plus if you talk shit about Motorhead you are simly not a man and have no say in metal...sorry pal

another band with only one guitarist.
can't any of you guys count?
Yeah Deep Purple are fucking based. That's not even the most metal track on the album.

And that's not even mentioning the stuff they did one-two years later, which is even more metal

Nope. I could drive to Piteå in less than an hour though
I stand corrected.
But lead + rhythm isn't the same as 2*lead.

His is a travelling kind
6 3's
333 + 333 = 666
look into it
no guy
Thanks bro. But:
1. We're allowed to have different opinions
2. It was a light-hearted joke (even though I don't care much for motorhead). I don't want to invoke the reddit comparison but getting bent out of shape by one word is more their thing, not Yas Forums's.
it's a case-by-case basis, as with anything
believing "ALL metalcore sucks!!" or anything along those lines is cringe
strange i like how cheesy the vocals sounds
also
i want more SWORD n SWORCERY metal
hard mode no manowar or power metal
Eternal champion - I am the hammer, The armor of ire
Smoulder - Ilian of garathorm, Bastard steel
Shadowkiller - 1600, Guardians of the temple
Aquatic doom sounds neat.
Fuck, this is good. Now I have to choose between them and U.F.O...
I have, but at the end of the day there's just not enough room for all the proto-metal stuff that deserves to be here.
Here's a current list of "Most Influential to Metal" chart that was being worked on yesterday. Locking it at 36 for 6 by 6 square chart.
I think Kiss is a better choice than Alice Cooper for shock rock. And I mean, they did have corpsepaint....kind of....
Points of contention:
>UFO vs Scorpions?
>Kiss and shock rock staying or going
As important as the aesthetics are, you don't get that from the studio albums.
>Summoning vs Agalloch
The influences Summoning had are kind of encompassed by Emperor, but only kind of. Summoning take bm in an even more keyboard oriented direction. Agalloch however is massively influential on American bm, and were the hugest influence on cascadian bm and stuff like Panopitcon.
>Killers vs Number of the Beast vs not having Iron Maiden at all
NWOBHM and its influences are well encompassed by UFO (or Scorpions...), JP, and especially by Diamond Head
>Obvious missing influential records from genres not repped
Korn - s/t (I know, I fucking know, but to deny nu-metal is to erase history)
TDEP - Calculating Infinity (Meshuggah is proto-djent, but this is the other half of stuff. Additionally, this reps all the -core stuff that the 21st century spawned)
Thergothon - Stream From The Heavens
A folk metal or symphonic power (a-la cheesy festival stuff like Nightwish) rep
>Obvious missing stuff from repped genres that represents scenes or subsubgenres
Manowar
Devourment
Uhhhh I'm not sure but there's bound to be other things
Based, now put the trip back on
>We're allowed to have different opinions.
Sure, but if you don't like Motorhead you are simply söy. This is an objective, scientific fact.
symbolik.bandcamp.com
WHY THE FUCK DO BANDS NOT PUT THE WHOLE ALBUM ON BANDCAMP. STOP DOING THIS SHIT.
adding
And by the was, does anyone have any ideas for the artwork? changed the font but something is till missing
Siege or Dropdead need a rep for their influence on grind
Regardless just for fun put on Sigh - Scarlet Dream
>yes i only like the first sodom ep how could you tell?
based and also the steamhammer version of obsessed by cruelty.
Fucking listen to Deceased now /meal/
the-true-deceased.bandcamp.com
>UFO vs Scorpions?
If you are gong by the dual guitar thing I'd say Scorpions since UFO only really had one guitarist and Scorpions were more influential anyway
>Kiss and shock rock staying or going
Kiss were massively influential, especially for Swedish bands for some reason so I'd say they should stay.
I told you
Folk metal: Skyclad's first album
Symphonic metal: Therion - Theli
nah, let's drop the influence bullshit and just add metal because then it'd turn out to be a fuckfest
The most interesting Motorhead songs to me were Iron Horse and Capricorn. I'll be your sister is also fun. The fast and loose speedy rock n roll ones don't really vibe with me.
yes faggot
why the hell is Black Flag on this chart?
this is kiiiinda sword and sorcery, but it's about a land of the bands own making rather than an established universe like Conan the Barbarian for example. (Megaton Sword - Niralet. it's under half an hour EP, definitely worth a listen I love it)
Eternal Champion - The Armor Of Ire. it gets posted a lot here but it is q u i n t e s s e n t i a l sword and sorcery-core, even if 'Armor' is spelled wrong.
I was posting Validor in the last thread. I've just found them today and only heard one of their albums so far, but I like them, and they seem to be specifically about Conan The Barbarian. They consider themselves "Blood Metal".
And finally, DoomSword have a song which is dedicated to the sword and sorcery genre called "Days of High Adventure" and it is very emotive
if anyone can add to the Sword & Sorcery theme it would be Muy apreciado
For the "hardcore influenced thrash!" meme.
cringe
At least you like some of them so you are still salvageable.
I could help you but nah
because the side b of my war is proto-sludge metal
the-true-deceased.bandcamp.com
Posting again, listen to deceased otherwise you’re a massive fag
Sword and Sorcery/D&D metal is based and we need a chart for it
youtube.com
What's are some heavy Motorhead songs? Did they get heavier in their later era?
Are there other thrash bands that have classy and serious cover art?
I'd say you should switch Led Zeppelin for deep Purple if you are ging for influence. Purple re more metal anyway.
Please stop talking to yourself
Did anyone ever make a deathrash chart?
Make me.
Check out these R I F F S boy
youtube.com
will chek later
thanks bro
>He doesn't know
They invented sludge metal on side B, dude
b-b-but maiden uses Doctor Doctor as stage entry music
fine, point me in the direction of which Scorpions albums from the 70s I need to listen to and i'll give em a whirl
Any thoughts on the other points made, or if anything you think is superfluous?
Pretty good, thanks

For a second I thought you were describing my favorite Sodom album.
This is d&d metal
