Digitone is great if you like FM but FM isn't good for everything. Quantum is ok, but too expensive for what it does. Summit is a decent all around synth but far from the best.

i don't think the quantum is expensive. i know peope who spend the same ammount of money on two weeks of holliday in a third world shitholes

Pretty much, you'll want a Sinewave LFO to modulate Sustain or Volume.

sorry user, got off for a while. Try either the eventide or softtube spring... the air instruments spring is cool too, but not as full as the others. You could probably demo them or buy them all for less than 200... Oh! Don't forget Valhalla reverbs... they dont have a specific spring but the vintage verb and the room verbs are great
