this is my band's debut EP, just dropped this morning. for fans of Daughters, Slint, and the earlier swing-y stuff that Swans did. we opened up for show me the body around a year ago, so you can probably lump them in with our influences too. we all pretty much think that noise rock is an amazing genre and likewise a genre that has not nearly been explored to its fullest potential. its not interesting to watch some guy turn on his distortion pedal and then hold his guitar up to the amp. so we try to avoid the pitfalls of the genre. thank you for listening!!

this is GREAT. i love electronic music like this. not sure what the genre would technically be, but it's really endlessly listenable. sounds like you're chasing w/e whim comes to mind but you know what you're doing, so fully-formed track comes out of it.

Not bad overall, but bro heres a tip for getting your guitars to actually sound heavy:
Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive"
all the way up. Turn other volume
knobs down to get the loudness
you want. Once you've proved
you can get heavy distortion,
dial things back to find the tone
you want. Focus on being LOUD!!
Some amps won't distort at low
volumes, mainly because that's
dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like
this, either just play loud or give up.
Finish setting up your account bro!

First album, feedback greatly appreciated
(Note: B-Sides is mostly trash beyond tracks 2,4, and 6)

Rhythm and beat on Hot Air Balloon are pretty solid, though the lyrics are bit too topical (though well done)
Overall, it could stand to be "stronger". It's very weak sounding, and I mean that in that the least insulting way possible. Kick it up a little, make it powerful, be more intense, etc. It's got a good foundation, you just need to pump it up a bit

I like the string background you decided to use. Very grandiose feeling, while still keeping the piece simple. Vocals kind of turned it generic toward the end, but it wasn't bad
The First track sounds a bit like a plane crash. I'm sure that style's intentional, but my point is that this is all kind of messy. I noticed on your description that you described your work as "unmelodic", and that's certainly accurate. The riffs at the beginning of 2 and 4 were actually alright, I just wish they were built upon more in the actual main composition. Though, admittedly, maybe it's just not my style
Getting a Pseudo-Gorillaz vibe here. Really enjoy the beat, though I wish there was some lyrics and progression to go along with it. As a background-type track though, not bad.

I agree that it does sound a bit weak, I'm still growing in my mixing abilities and I was trying to keep the vocals from being drowned out. I'm hoping to find some people to work with soon who are better than me who can help me out a little bit, I learn a bit better with hands on stuff.
