At the Door was really good, but Bad Decisions was pretty mediocre (and was clearly ripping off Dancing with Myself)
From what I've heard live I think it'll turn out good, at the very least better than Angles.

CM was clearly low effort/low ambition. TNA is looking like it could be a classic imo

I heard the Adults are Talking, it sounded cool live imo, but the studio version could sound completely different.

Yeah I was pretty pissed when the studio version of Wink lacked the energy of the live version, but I'll keep high hopes for this album until they are either validated or crushed

I actually prefer the studio version of Wink, was just using it as an example. Julian is unironically the best artist of this generation, so I'll listen to anything he releases regardless haha

As if I wanted to waste time with the Strokes again. Comeback Machine was the disappointment of a decade.

Never got the CM hate desu. Wasn't an exceptional album by any means, but it was a fair 7/10. Chances was the only song that leaves a bad taste.

Angles, on the other hand, will always be the worst Strokes album and nobody can change my mind on that.

Angles is miles better and actually was a statement, on the band moving on and leaving the past behind. CM might was well be forgotten.

Angles was very hit-or-miss for me, but it's been a while since I gave it a listen.
I remember on my first listen feeling that it was trying to push the envelope for the band but only did so half-heartedly, but looking back that complaint applies more to CM. Maybe I'm just a fag after all

Pretty solid, my favourite of the 3 officially released songs so far. I feel like The Strokes have realized how to balance their older sound with their newer sound, but at the same time not sounding derivative of themselves.
