A lot of people claim that people who do what he did, their apologies aren't sincere and what they say about what got them to that point is always an excuse. Maybe I was wrong then. Sorry for making it seem black and white. I think my initial statement made it seem like I would ALWAYS say people can change. People like that guy, yeah he can't, at least not for a long, long time. I'd say life with the change of parole in 25 years actually does make sense in that case, I mean think about it, 25 years is a long, LONG time. If someone lived that long while being forced to think about what they did to get them there, basically self punishment, either they get worse or get better. What do you think?

I wish he could have been rehabilitated, but the way the criminal justice system works, it just provides retributive justice and protection for the public. It usually is, but what stops that from becoming swayed like in a place like China? Belief in the people running it?
