pretty appropriate mentioning the USA in a human mutations thread :^)

>American band from Jersey
>Hail to England
what did they mean by this?
maybe they're honorary britfags, like how Rob Halford is an honorary amerifag
To apologize for the failure of their UK tour, Manowar decided to dedicate their next album to the United Kingdom. The album, Hail to England, was recorded and mixed in just six days and was released in early 1984. Its promotional tour, "Spectacle of Might", had a large number of dates in England.

Give me some groovy/thrashy grind.
metal is inherently British
The intro to "Unknown" sounds really cool and eerie. Reminds me of the intro to Torn into Enthralment
It's actually inherently American, since it came from the blues.

Listen to Razor
Listen to speed metal
Listen to Razor.
Listen to Razor.
It's actually inherently American, since it got it's name from Steppenwolf.

So are Impellitteri /boomercore/ yet?
>Why yes, Dead Embryonic Cells is my favorite Sepultura song. How did you guess?
Does Rob Rock's solo work also have intense shredding even if it's without Impellitteri?
Never understood why people rip into DragonForce but praise his band when they are gimmicky as hell and IMO less interesting than HammerFall. This sounds like a demo song. But whatever, like what you like.
It sounds fucking awesome! I expected much worse, given the 2019 song I just heard from Paul Gilbert (some generic bluesrockfunk normie shit, with one half of a sweep).
Yeah, he usually works with Roy Z from Bruce Dickinson's solo band when he puts out his own albums. Maybe not as ridiculously fast as Chris, but a fantastic player nonetheless.

Jake E. Lee also plays on a few songs on his first album.

>not Primitive Future
weak.
bc sabaton is based and i like their older albums more than the new stuff
>Implying Stronger Than Hate isn't the best track from BtR
Man how the hell do you know about all these shredders/guitarists? Have I been reading the wrong websites? Most of the internet and metal press doesn't give any attention at all to this type of music, unless there's something in Guitar World which I never read.
This whole album is great and has some of the best soloing I've heard.
For me, it's the title-track.

>Neoclassical Power Metal
There's plenty of places that do (or did) cover this shit, just have to know where to look! I used to lurk the old MelodicRock noticeboard (mainly AOR-focused but there were plenty of knowledgeable metal guys there back when it was still active) and the Dinosaur Rock forums when I was a teenager, so picked up plenty there. The Nolifetilmetal guy has a pretty crazy CD collection and catalogues it all, so maybe go have a look at his site and see what you think.
Do you like TNT from Norway? Plenty of great pop hooks with some great vocals and pretty insane shred. Kind of like a really methed-up Gary Moore with a little bit of Brian May thrown in.
