looks like mine but with more music lol
too many 5's. It should be less than 0.5% of your scores.
Patrician. That's how a curve should look like. People who spend their time listening to music that they know they won't like are dumb
t. ANTON
How do you guys listen to so much music? do you revisited albums you've listen to before
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO RATE EVERYTHING LIKE SHIT
LISTEN TO MUSIC YOU KNOW YOU WON'T LIKE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I mean I've only recently started to listen to more music but I listen to like 5 new albums a week (probably more now because of corona lol), and I revisit them gradually
says who
Sorry for actually enjoying music lol
aren't most peoples curves like this though
I often don't even look at people's 5s, I find 4.5s to be way more interesting and varied
There are times I listen to a lot of new shit, other times I spend revisiting older albums and changing scores.
But I'm listening to a lot of new shit and rating them because of the quarantine.
Some people have been doing this for years. Plenty of time to listen multiple times to thousands of albums.
>this many 5s and 4.5s
disgusting, it's almost like you really enjoy music or something
I can't even remember the last time I gave a 4.5
If someone has thousands of ratings and their 5 stars are just tourist/avant-teen shit there is no point at looking into it any further. They might have some interesting shit rated but if their opinion means shit-all you might just as well pick something at random from a genre chart.
>its almost like you really enjoy music or something
Yes I do, and Im young. I also
A) only search out music that I think I'll enjoy
B) only review albums that I've listened to front-to-back and if I hate something I'll probably turn it off halfway through
I'm the same way, but I just rarely get all that into music anymore, I listen to acclaimed stuff I think I would like and I'm like "well, that sure was alright, 3/5"
I have a scale where I only dock half a point for albums I think are either too long or too short.
its kinda dumb but often makes it easier to pick a rating
Cringe
what was your 3000 rate
>too short or too long
The shortest album in my top 50 is 12 minutes long and the longest is 2.3 hours, dont be a pussy
rateyourmusic.com
imagine a more predictable list of 10/10s
>rateyourmusic.com
damn they're all based as fuck though, good taste BRo
tbf Im not dissing he has some good choices
based overwhelmingly possitive poster
Awww I'd add you but you have a lot of my favs in your 0.5 to 3's :( you're still a based Brancabro so I love u
Why do you have so many categories for bad, unsalvageably bad, despicably bad, whatever
Is distinguishing different types of badness so important to you?
I'll never understand Força Bruta over Tábua de Esmeralda
Bad is just bad, awful is offensively bad, hilariously bad is so bad it's funny (maybe I should switch that one with awful), unsalvageable is completely unlistenable garabge that I can't stand (haven't heard an album like that yet, used to have a couple of singles but I stopped rating them)
I like what I like and I'm not ashamed of that. Some of them I understand being predictable but what am I gonna do? Give a lesser score just because they are entry-level or some shit? I love them all to death.
Thanks bro.
Tábua de Esmeralda would be my second pick from Jorge Ben. For the longest time they were tied.
I prefer Força Bruta just because it's more energetic and fun.
METAAALLLLIIICCCAAAA
C'mon man, send me a request.
>but you have a lot of my favs in your 0.5 to 3's
So what? It's just opinions.

Alright then, sent you one
Your 5.0s look like mine, that's nice.
Stop listening to 100gecs. >:(
I think i have the most basic kind of curve, and i wont listen to an album if i think i wont like it anyways
>Your 5.0s look like mine, that's nice.
that's why I wanted to add you lol
>Stop listening to 100gecs. >:(
I know I know, I wish I could LOL
Just put all that stuff into one rating and take more care categorising the stuff you like imo
cool opinion
Forca Bruta just makes me feel more feels
These threads remind me of the business card scene from American Psycho.

Rate?
I feel that I know more about music than most of my friends, but less than a great deal of people here and on other music forums. I like to think I have a reasonably well developed taste but truthfully most of my favourite records are essentially Yas Forumscore and there are many musical genres which I have not even superficially explored. So at what point can I reasonably consider myself knowledgable about music? After deeply listening to over 1000 albums? After listening to several entire Yas Forums genre charts? Some other benchmark entirely?
You can consider yourself knowledgeable bout music when you finger bang a 16 year old at a modern baseball concert
By 1000 albums of various different genres or at least the classics you're alright really.
zoomer....
what 50s did you listen to
>1960s
>2.85
The gabagool
not mine, but thoughts on this?
I like it a lot actually, I'm gonna steal it from you now user you're fucked

Pozzed.
Decent.
Retarded.
Good.

Absolutely fucking based, and dare I say redpilled too. Truly an avant-garde rating "curve".
