why did they put a D in this chord and still call it Cmaj7?
trying hard to understand

Watch /gg/ get jealous:
vocaroo.com
Since it was agreed that the DSL sucks, which are some good alternatives that get you the Marshall sound in a combo for less than $1000?
I've got a Vox Valvetronix that I really like.
Get a headphone amp and forget about it. Don't force people to listen to your bullshit until you're good
Just get a friedman pedal
The DSL is an amazing series, anyone who says otherwise is a fucking idiot who doesn't know how to gain stage.
It's just sounds like a cross between the JCM-800 and the 45W Plexi
I have learnt the five positions of the minor pentatonic scale.
What now?
New to /gg/ here. holy shit this is bad, please just stop . You sound like an actual retard.
>I-I know! Lets release the SAME FUCKING GUITAR AGAIN, but this time make it look like a Gretsch!
Too compressed. Jvm is better.
It's completely different from a tele though. The only similarity is the shape.
can someone help this earlet figure out this part of the song

such courage
What are the ugliest guitar bodies?
For me, it's a tele or superstrat
i would just call it a maj7sus2 and pat myself on the back
Offset master body style report in.
Wot?
i’m convinced it’s just a typo, their demo track sounds like a regular cmaj7
The one guitar I want right now and still the only seller is in Estonia.
What's gain stage?
what guitar is this?
Duesenberg Starplayer
Nice, they even drew in the P-90 neck and humbucker bridge pickups.
>someone draws a house
Nice they even added the door and windows

4 parts

With 4 parts it sounds terrible but if you were playing you would focus on your own part and it would be pure chaos
Oh shit it's a fucking tele thread!
The original all dc are just copies.
that kind of strumming with distortion on sound fucking terrible.
need to figure out a headphones rig
how is the strymon iridium? i've held off on buying anything strymon but i need an amp sim
specifically wondering how it takes fuzz/OD
Straymon is so overpriced for what it is. Buy a helix stomp or axe fx FM3 and you’ll have everything those Strymins cans do and more for the price of one.
What's thd point of a C Shaped Barre? Why should I learn this shape? it's even worse than the B chord shape and I don't see a point besides playing chords a slightly different way
be honest anons, is buying an expensie guitar worth it?
Overpriced isn’t fair. But each unit is capable of doing all the others jobs because it’s just a ShARC DSP with a program.
And a shit interface. Just get helix
hughes and kettner tubemeister 20
Look up diminishing return.
The difference between a $500 guitar and a $1,200 one is noticable.
The difference between a $1,200 guitar and a $2,000 not so much.
Anything beyond that you are paying for custom shop or a name.
Should I do it anons?
Get a hot rod deluxe IV
>Sergio Curioso
Great name.
For the price of this gay shit you could just get a mesa/boogie and chug instead
these devices look significantly more complex than the strymon
hate menu diving, hate too much functionality
and the helix stomp costs like $200 more here. what gives?
I'd say anything beyond $1000 you're paying for a custom shop, a name, or a name that has purposefully limited cheap improvements to the higher price tiers to keep people interested in buying them (fender used to put a two point trem on the cheapest american strat. do you know why they stopped?)
Look at schecter. Top end features and stainless frets on $1000 gutiars. The only people that whine about them? Boomers who think alder is a magical tonewood and not just the cheapest hardwood leo fender could get his hands on.
Princeton? Yes, end game amp.
That multi effects pedal? Fuck no. Bleh. If you are buying multieffects get a helix or fractal or pod go. Way way way way way way better effects and usability. And it has amp models you can run if you want.
the helix stomp is an amp+cab sim, you just plug it into a powered speaker and skip the $1000 amp
a $1000 single channel vintage styled 15 watt 1x10 combo amp is a fucking rip off, by the way. people sell larger, louder more full featured, versatile amps for less. AND, the princeton is a PCB amp, not hand wired or anything. you're just paying the "dude iconic lmao" tax.
>its iconic! you know you want one! your favorite rock star from before you were born had one! you'll pay anything! it's not that much anyways!
same reason a les paul standard costs $1000 more than an SG standard when the extra wooden bulk is more like a $50 difference and they're made with roughly the same amount of CNC machining and labor. the iconic gear tax. it's a fashion item, it's a larp item, it's like an iphone versus another brand with identical performance and functionality. people will pay more for it just to say they have one, and the company knows it.
>dance gavin dance
Saying they're expensive just because boomer legends took them on stage doesn't negate the fact that boomer legends took them on stage
Deal w/ it
I'm about to buy one of these tone headstock plates. Anyone has experience with them?
Do you need to put shit on your headstock?
>does your guitar have a wolf note?
>yes
try it
>no
save those and resell them to boomers for $150
what is a wold note
Look a POD go has all the helix models up to date done by some of the most experienced modelers in the business. The strymon has an old school ‘sounds like’ approach.
For $50 more dollars you get all those amp models AND all the effects models. And they sound nearly identical to the real thing.
It’s also extremely easy to use. And obviously more accurate than the stryman.
The screen has a line on it that represents a guitar cable. Then you drop what you want on the cable where you would plug in a pedal or amp into your signal chain.
The knobs below the screen turn in to the knobs of the amp or pedal you are hovering over. It’s easy and accurate. The stryman offers very simple models with fake controls. The pod go is professional tier stuff. Literally pros use those models on recordings.
AND for $450 you get all the real delays and ODs and distortions and fuzz and wah models. You want a KLON Centaur? Pick a spot in the cable, push. Select distortion, select Minotaur model, the knobs are now gain tone level. Dial them in, done. That easy.
You want stereo ping pong delay with stereo chorus? That easy.
Or you go with stryman you have to spend ANOTHER $450 to get delays and another $399 to get modulation.
Becuase you are buying the DSP chip over and over. AND the models aren’t as good.
My real advice would be buy a tube amp. But don’t buy a cheap digital pedal.
Not him and I hate nigger mulattos but the guys pretty good.
youtu.be
If you play a note and it doesn't sustain like all the others, it's a warble or a wolf tone (rare on solidbodies) or a dead spot (might be a bad fret or a high pickup, true dead spots are rare on solidbodies).
If you don't have a hollowbody your guitar's resonant frequency is too low for either of those to happen.
PCB is fine especially for home use, and it’s a Princeton.
Also, I have helix and a Mesa Boogie Lone Star and the tube amp is simply better.
That said. I’ll gig with the helix and not risk my tube amp traveling or stolen when helix sounds close enough that audience won’t care and it’s so much easier to mix and set up.
Check out my new bridge saddle
nah i own an authentic Gibson guitar, i dont have these cheap issues
The AC15 is cheaper and actually comes with a 12" speaker. There are quite a few other amps in that price range if you don't like the Vox sound too.
Looks like this might actually be it for Brazil's fragile economy.
any phish fans?
I'm not a big trey guy, his "style" never really meshed with me. but this pretty beautiful
Give it a shot
youtube.com
start around 7:20 if you're ADD (or don't want to listen to a 15 minute song)
You can not tell the difference between a tube amp and a quality digital simulation unless you're listening to the guitar track all alone with quality speakers and directly comparing it to the same playing ran through the other device.

If you play in a band instead of hitting chords and listening to the tone ring out all alone in your bedroom, it's not a question. Digital gear is better.
You know Gibson makes hollow guitars that can have those issues, right? They're a high output factory. Guitars are PLEK'd, set up with rulers and feeler gauges, checked twice with a straightedge, and sent out the door. Master players do not test all the frets or anything. All the cost comes from their length and labor intensive manufacturing process, plus markup where a model is more iconic than the others and people are willing to pay more (these massive profit margins are what actually keeps the company afloat. if they didn't do it, they'd go broke.)
Their president doesnt believe in quarantine. They’re living in the dark ages, aren’t they?
Their president basically telling them if they die they die.
The absolute state of that country.
Nothing like rocking it in the free world.
good, we might be free from sambosis soon
Yea but after trump threatened to cut them off they decided to implement measures and are pumping 500 billion brl into an already shit teetering economy. Venezuela 2.0 is looming.
> Guitars are PLEK'd, set up with rulers and feeler gauges, checked twice with a straightedge, and sent out the door
And a note for the emotionally sensitive kids who spent their savings on les pauls in the past year: This is already much more than most guitar factories do. Of course all of you bought years old gibsons off reverb because you could only afford $1500 so how well done gibson frets are out of the box has never crossed your mind anyways.
Do you run the helix through the power section of the Mesa? The Helix basically sounds indistinguishable recorded to a 'real' amp (though you may need to use an IR). Loads of people do these modellers a dirty by playing them through cheap PA systems and bad speakers.
Heres the update. Looks like this maybe it for Sam's dad. Hes probably smiling for the first time in years.
loads of people can't distinguish from good tone from an amp/effects unit and good tone from a speaker/IR
>load better IRs into shitty line 6 product
>sounds like an axe FX
listen to the phish song you gorilla niggers
I can’t speak nigger so you will have to translate
When Sammy's dad finally kicks the bucket, I'll be here to kaka on his coffin
You dont have YouTube Translate?
no i havent bought it
