OH NO NO NO
You know what I'm about to say right bro?...
Most rock music uses the same chords and sounds that other bands have played millions of times throughout history sent through devices that modify the sound in similar ways that other bands have done millions of times throughout history. The difference is the modification of the sound that can be different (analogous to using effects on a given sound you've sampled) and the sounds are put into a different order (which is something you do when you sample stuff too). And you don't need to use already existing sounds if you're sampling. You can record or play your own sounds to use. This isn't the most common thing to do but it is something that's done.
Bro I'd rec you if I ever did that trashÿ
Here's what you should really do:
-1st buy fl studio,
its all you need at 1st
-2nd make a kick/snare rythem
-invite some producers over to
hang out and get them to help geta
melody / bassline idea
-3rd get some studio time,
4th, get some experienced
producers to work with you during
your session(s)
5th let them do whatever they want
to the song to make it good.
6th DONE! you have a new song
you can upload online and start
blowing up!

This is fucking intense! I really dig it. The drums are probably my favorite part, but I also enjoy the sheer unpredictability of the structure. I'd be curious to know what some of your influences are.
recs:
Years ago the music industry
was deregulated and lofi became a
thing. So I dunno what you think
you're doing by being a legit
response to the things real
musicians like me do to stop the
degeneration of music. And for real
bro, lofi? Come on......Bro, "lofi"
isn't a safeword to avoid criticism
on EQing and mastering. It's not
just to clean up sound quality, EQ is
to make space for all the elements
to fit together. If multiple elements
of a mix occupy similar frequency
ranges and attempt to fit into the
same space, the result will often
sound muddy, and basically just a
MESS, it doesn't sound "indie" or
whatever you shmucks say its like,
its just embarrassing.
Your beats are a bit generic and
I recognize the Samples.
the sample sounds like it was
recorded to a 15ips tape machine
with a live band going straight
through a console, and the drums
are coming from a drum machine,
synth, or stock DAW drum
samples, chances are the context
won’t make sense, you should
always focus on that crispy sound
quality bro.
In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what
can I do to make these drums
sound better, like they BUMP to the
sample, but still stick out and hit
hard?” Bro... Think about it like this,
it might mean you have to be
processing to the sample, or
processing to the drums, or both.
And generally needssome
experimentation to make it BOOM
in the speaker. And also mmatching
the space is super key. This isn’t
easy, it takes a really ADVANCED
ear like mine. But if you can train
yourself to listen to the ambience in
the sample and recreate that
ambience around the drums, but
don't get confused. You follow?
Next turn up the EQ low end (bass)
and ta-da you're better.
Even if you're sick dryposting isn't acceptable.
Me
That's true, but no I'm referring to the "bedroom" tagline.... Bro......
Bro...Throwing the word "Bedroom"
infront of your genre isn't some
sort of indie tagline. I know you
fake musicians THINK it is...
but.. it's not. Real guys in the industry
laugh all day long at "bedroom" and "lofi" musicians.
You think any real musician walks
into a studio and tells the production
team he's looking for a "bedroom pop" feel?
absolutely NOT!
If there was a dummy that ever did that
they'd be thrown outta there pronto.
I know you've never dealt with real
industry peeps like me, and
you've never even set inside a legitimate
studio like I have, so this is just
a word of advice to a beginner
like you. Grow up and make
real music .
Lofi AND Indie????
SKIP
>Spotify
Bro, no offence bro but spotify
will destroy your career, or I
should say your attempt at
one before it even begins.
Spotify's whole gameplan is
to securely steal music from
artists and then when that
artist disappears they rebrand
the music under a new name.
Basically like what the industry
did with Lady GaGa but now it's
Spotify doing it and no one knows.
Me Aight... I'm off to have my appointment with my shrink.. I'll be back to help everyone later :D
teehee, i dont think the genres listed in > include bedroom, but yeah thanks dubbi, next time im gonna pay the studio for my solo shit, just to make you happy

Re-Read your whole post again you absolute baffoon. Yeah you said it at the beginning and not in your greentext but you called it "bedroom". Obviously I wasn't going to re-read your post to see where you wrote it because you're a worthless slob of a thing compaired to the mysterious musician I am.
Haha Yup!
You're still dryposting here with your poser ass. You are 100% not even into the occult. LOL suburban worm.
Me
You've def got the apocalyptic vibes. I like the direction you're taking this sound, keep going! And don't be afraid to get even weirder!!
Nice stuff, y'all! IMO I think your stuff would bang a lot harder with a drummer, and feel less washed out. Keep writing songs!
This beat is dope! Keep prod'n them like this and it'll only get better. Not sure what mic you're using but if there's a way to get a more crisp vocal it'd def play into your hand, even if you're going for lo-fi.

This is fantastic! I absolutely love the sound you have here and the songwriting is fantastic, exactly the sort of stuff I love. Vocals are really nice as well. I found you on Spotify and will definitely be giving this whole album a listen soon.
I'm btw. Thanks for the positive feedback. We are still trying to find a permanent drummer, but plan to get some studio recordings with drums done asap.
Very noisy, very unsettling, and despite the sheer chaos seems to be structured well enough to still come across as songs and be compelling. Nice!
Listened to 62 Blue. I liked the sounds you've got in here and the inherent songwriting is very compelling. Enjoyed how poppy it was, but also how noisy it could be. Cool stuff!

Ambient AND lofi?
You might as well just record yourself breathing and call it music because you have absolutely no crafting skills in songwriting. You make Ambient (pushing one key on your midi) and lofi (just plugging in a cheap microphone and hoping it'll be listenable) and calling it a day? Do NOT quit your dayjob there rookie.
I don't wanna hear this flacid D soft rock ITT bro, heres a tip for getting your guitars to actually sound heavy:
Turn knobs marked "gain" or "overdrive"
all the way up. Turn other volume
knobs down to get the loudness
you want. Once you've proved
you can get heavy distortion,
dial things back to find the tone
you want. Focus on being LOUD!!
Some amps won't distort at low
volumes, mainly because that's
dumb as all hell LOL. If yours is like
this, either just play loud or give up.
Try making a song that's 103bpm faster.
Finish setting up your account bro. Wtf are you still doing with that generic url?

Haha YUP!
Me
this quarantine's really fucking you up huh
Look, you're just a newbie so
I dunno if you want the truth...
The problem I have with 99%
of "musicians" who sample
other people's work is LONGG.
The big thing is with these digital
sound sampling devices, back
in the day my sh!t was ANALOG
bro, do you even know what
analog means? Whatever,
anyway these digital systems
are, we are told, music mimics
par excellence, able to render
the whole orchestral panoply,
plus all that grunts, or squeaks.
The noun "sample" is, in our
comodified culture,pre-fixed by
the adjective free, FREE. as
in STEALING. So now you're
lying about being an artist and
if one is to consider predicating
this subject, perhaps some
thinking aloud on what is not
allowable auditory appropriation
is to be heard.
Some of you, current and potential
samplerists are confused, I KNOW
you're confused, and it's about
the extent to which you can
legally borrow from the ingredients
of other people's sonic
manifestations. Is a musical
property properly private, and
when and how does one trespass
upon it? Like myself, you may covet
something similar to a particular
chord played and recorded
singularly well by the strings of
the estimable Eastman Rochester
Orchestra on a long-deleted
Mercury Living Presence LP
of Charles Ives' Symphony #3
and you're thinking "Oh no,
welp here's another song down
the DRAIN"!
Me

really sets a mood, it has a nice outworldish spooky landscape feel to it.
it certainly has an attitude, I like the horrorcore/trap beats, sounds fresh! Followed:)
Name me 3 things that are actually avant gardé (it is spelt with an é bro)
Try using kick drums that go up and down in pitch. As in: the main kick beat at its resting pitch and leading into the 3 have it hit an octave higher. Try it bro.

Pretty smooth listen. Really enjoyed the bass - the off-notes introduced some much-needed tension. Almost trance or dream-like as it goes on. It could really use some extra instrumentation, though - the beat doesn't necessarily need to change, but a keyboard or a bass solo (or even a guitar, but I am biased).
Man you weren't kidding about the Radiohead/Weezer inspiration! The vocals are also a bit Brand New when you break into a shout. The tremolo guitar reminds me of that, too. Really liked the mix, especially on the guitar. It was a lot thicker than I expected and really filled out the space. With a bit more variety in the vocals songs from you like this would be genuinely excellent. Keep it up!
Thought I'd give this a go, I do have a bit of a soft spot for ambience and noise now and again. More noisy than I would usually go for, but I like how there's an inkling of melody that pops through toward the start. The higher bend notes might benefit from like a bass drone or something (it sounds like you actually use this in 'Kolos'). Really gives an overwhelming, concrete/industrial feel. Interesting set of sounds, might be something to keep an eye on! Keep it up.

also very hektik noises, but you really need to fix your graphic design on your profile. People are embarrassed to like tracks that have crappy design like scribbles and stuff because it shows up in their like feed. At least put a picture of a fractal or art or a car if you can't do graphic design, but not a literal scribble.
