Two days ago (on March 29th) I released a remix of the song "Dorothy" by the late singer Sulli as a birthday present for her. I tried to not change the original song too much, instead, I focused on intensifying the feelings already there. The result is very atmospheric and beautiful. Also please do give a listen to the original song too if you haven't, it's a perfect Art/Ambient Pop track with a tinge of DnB towards the end.
RECS:
Your new track is gorgeous and fitting for this isolated mood we're all in, I especially love the choice of those dramatic glitchy consonant chords and the way they clash with the droney distorted noises from the left and right side of the stereo.
Hey, I remember you, always bringing professional tunes and this one isn't an exception. Epic chord progressions, tasty synth solo (also loved the noisy guitar solo towards the end), great bassline, catchy chorus, this new track actually raises the bar of quality you usually bring.
YO! Time to get waAcky! Praise KEK! New album to celebrate living this wonderful life!!! "Eyes on da Prize!"

This is rad.
You wanna post like me so bad.
Try working on your mixing and EQing skills. Your music could be way more extreme with a different mix.
You have to be 18+ to post on this site.
You should really try to incorporate intense breakbeats into your music and put them through distortion.
Try adding more fun elements to your music.
I bet you really wanna collaborate with me huh?
Your beats are a bit generic and
I recognize the Samples.
the sample sounds like it was
recorded to a 15ips tape machine
with a live band going straight
through a console, and the drums
are coming from a drum machine,
synth, or stock DAW drum
samples, chances are the context
won’t make sense, you should
always focus on that crispy sound
quality bro.
In my mind I’m thinking “ok, what
can I do to make these drums
sound better, like they BUMP to the
sample, but still stick out and hit
hard?” Bro... Think about it like this,
it might mean you have to be
processing to the sample, or
processing to the drums, or both.
And generally needssome
experimentation to make it BOOM
in the speaker. And also mmatching
the space is super key. This isn’t
easy, it takes a really ADVANCED
ear like mine. But if you can train
yourself to listen to the ambience in
the sample and recreate that
ambience around the drums, but
don't get confused. You follow?
Next turn up the EQ low end (bass)
and ta-da you're better.
If you ever want a remix hmu.
>Spotify
Bro, no offence bro but spotify
will destroy your career, or I
should say your attempt at
one before it even begins.
Spotify's whole gameplan is
to securely steal music from
artists and then when that
artist disappears they rebrand
the music under a new name.
Basically like what the industry
did with Lady GaGa but now it's
Spotify doing it and no one knows.
Me ... the 1 the only dj dubbi
>trapmetal
>the year 2020
Bro you're so late to the party
Classic
Post a picture next time to be more recognizable and interesting bro.
lofi AND indie ??
SKIP
The problem I have with 99%
of "musicians" who sample
other people's work is LONGG.
The big thing is with these digital
sound sampling devices, back
in the day my sh!t was ANALOG
bro, do you even know what
analog means? Whatever,
anyway these digital systems
are, we are told, music mimics
par excellence, able to render
the whole orchestral panoply,
plus all that grunts, or squeaks.
The noun "sample" is, in our
comodified culture,pre-fixed by
the adjective free, FREE. as
in STEALING. So now you're
lying about being an artist and
if one is to consider predicating
this subject, perhaps some
thinking aloud on what is not
allowable auditory appropriation
is to be heard.
Some of you, current and potential
samplerists are confused, I KNOW
you're confused, and it's about
the extent to which you can
legally borrow from the ingredients
of other people's sonic
manifestations. Is a musical
property properly private, and
when and how does one trespass
upon it? Like myself, you may covet
something similar to a particular
chord played and recorded
singularly well by the strings of
the estimable Eastman Rochester
Orchestra on a long-deleted
Mercury Living Presence LP
of Charles Ives' Symphony #3
and you're thinking "Oh no,
welp here's another song down
the DRAIN"!!!!!
Me
You need to Learn how to boost your bass. I can help you out quite a bit if you ask,but for now what you need to focus on is Making great bass patches.
So, to make a beginner bass,
get a defult patch in Harmor,
turn the low-pass on A to 10%
and 0% on B,
and then turn the Sub up on both
A and B,
next turn on some slight distortion
and then EQ the sub in the mixer
up all the way.
Bro...Throwing the word "Bedroom"
infront of your genre isn't some
sort of indie tagline. I know you
fake musicians THINK it is...
but.. it's not. Real guys in the industry
laugh all day long at "bedroom" and "lofi" musicians.
You think any real musician walks
into a studio and tells the production
team he's looking for a "bedroom pop" feel?
absolutely NOT!
If there was a dummy that ever did that
they'd be thrown outta there pronto.
I know you've never dealt with real
industry peeps like me, and
you've never even set inside a legitimate
studio like I have, so this is just
a word of advice to a beginner
like you. Grow up and make
real music .
Imagine if you did a jazz album
Read what I've already said: Post a picture bro
Dogs don't drypost bro, come on....
Me
i'm so stupid.. i meant to say this about
but dubbi I can't leave the house we're in quarantine
my music is 100% bedroom right now
No risk = No reward
Come on bro, do things the dubbi way!

That a juicy lead tone you got there mate, what are you using for it? I also really like the punch your kick has. Great song, too.

Really like the almost dream theatre sound. That bass tone sounds like a hammer behind the guitar. Good stuff I'd stay to watch your set.
Reminds me of the malcolm in the middle theme for some reason. The vocals kind of overpower everything else but other than that it's catchy.
Always down for noise core. Kind of sounds like stage 6 of that dementia album if I were to compare it to anything.
Ayyy thanks man I'm still learning so thanks for the kind words user.

This is ok, very direct simply-structured break-up track. Though that cassette recording technique you talk about in one of the comments helps elevate this a little. It feels like that void of emptiness in the middle draws in whatever natural reverb is coming from the guitar and vocals (sounds like it's arranged into a half circle with guitar tracks panned both left and right and vocals above it) to fill it up instead of adding more elements to the song. Makes it sound a bit thinner, but more whole in the long-run. Side note, the intro to the music video gave me a chuckle.
LOL I would never take advice from a limp-D neopunk sissy like you. Stick to what your good at , being a nobody! I'll stick to what I'm good at: making A1 music with a personality that makes you sh1t yo pants like BASS
Now let's get the thread back on track
man you really are a schizo hot damn, carry on then lol
Definitely start making some songs that are actually complex if you're going to rep the "math" subgenres
See, exactly what I said. I walk around doing my THING and flacid wannabes like you scurry out of my way when I speak the tune of truth.
Most rock music uses the same chords and sounds that other bands have played millions of times throughout history sent through devices that modify the sound in similar ways that other bands have done millions of times throughout history. The difference is the modification of the sound that can be different (analogous to using effects on a given sound you've sampled) and the sounds are put into a different order (which is something you do when you sample stuff too). And you don't need to use already existing sounds if you're sampling. You can record or play your own sounds to use. This isn't the most common thing to do but it is something that's done.
Me
Scurry out of your way? How? I called you insane lol. You embarrass yourself every thread and I thought it was troll marketing, but I now understand that you have an actual problem. If you want help I'm here I have a couple psychotic friends and they're doing really well now that they're on medication :)
> they're doing really well now that they're on medication :)
LOL being on meds aint a thang, I'm on the highest recommended dosage of my meds.
