Hello
Do you like this picture of my classical guitar?
Hello, /gg/.
Can someone please help? The problem is that my guitar pickup will be loud for around half a second and then the volume/gain drops and stays there, this happens every time I mute all of the strings and stop all noise playing and then proceed to play a note. The same happens for both pickups. Please help.
My nylon guitar sounds distorted if I don't hold the bridge down. Does distortion happen if the bridge is loose or something?
This is common with wax potting.
>My nylon guitar sounds distorted if I don't hold the bridge down
How does that sound?
Sounds like it's a piece of shit
Distorted
It's not. It's a 60's classical guitar from Japan. I paid around $600 for it.
Sorry, thought you might be Sam
It's not fret buzz or something, is it?
Maybe something structural is loose and rattling
>Sorry, thought you might be Sam
lol
This has nothing to do with wax potting
Your amp is busted
>Be me
>Buy cheap "metal" guitar for $300
>has a 3 piece neck so the wood is stable evem without PRS autism
>put in a schaller floyd, new posts, and new locking nut for $200
>level, crown, and polish the frets myself
>replace stock pickups with some lightly used "metal" duncans I got for $50 each because the boomer i bought from hated them
>mfw is basically an ibanez prestige at this point
>$550 is what it costed brand new
Spending big bucks on poly finished basswood guitars is dumb
It's like you're sam, but better.
>Your amp is busted
No:
1) Same doesn't happen with my other guitar
2) Same happens with this guitar on both Bias FX and the Amp
also, it's not the cable, tried different ones, replaced the battery, all didn't work, I may take it to a guitar repair shop.
>battery
Your EMGz are busted.
Noooo you have to buy one that's made in japan and marvel at the craftsmanship involved in applying a 4mm thick flame maple veneer!

YEAH
just realised I have been learning all wrong, no wonder I hardly made progress with chord changes
found a vid of a guy just going through E to A and mentioning that I should try all my fingers together rather than what beginners try to do which is to 'set the fingers' one by one but quickly, can't believe I didn't see one fucking person recommend this online
it feels janky like all my fingers dont want to move at the same time but man just sitting there for 10 mins and building up the speed has me doing almost perfect changes, so this is how easy it should be??
>2 piece Of wood neck
>Korean pot metal bridge
>3k
EXTRAORDINARY INSTRUMENTS
>5 signature gook planks
>literally PAID to play a jap scrap guitar
>still plays and records Gibson Firebird and Flying V
Gets the noggin jogging
Shit plank hoarders btfo
>dozens of free instruments from Japan
>paid to play them
>still order a Les Paul from the custom shop AND PAY FOR IT
Lmao, poors btfo, play authentic not even expensive
>play authentic
>les paul was made because gibson feared the tele
>sg was made in fear of the strat
Don't pay to be "authentic" pay to be the original.
What did PRS make becuase they fear the strat and Les Paul lmao
>single cut 594 is a massive rip on tele and LP
>silver sky is just the aborted fetus of a strat that somehow survived
But muh tone woods. Muh ten top. Muh stupid controls and everything gets a fucking piezo.
Seriously why do 80% of every fucking PRS come with piezos?!
Guitar
Because it doesn't take any space and it's a cool feature.
Guytar
I’ve actually heard good things about the silver sky, the only issue is the price.
>doesn't take any space
The actual piezo doesn't take up any space but the added amount of controls does. Look on the side of the custom 22 piezo. Has a extra output jack and a battery box on the side. It looks fucking GROSS.
that kinda makes sense but I assume the reason people have to do it one at a time is that as beginners they CANT just put their fingers on all the notes at the same time.
This lockdown is great. I've had lots of time to play guitar and get songs finished.
My band was doing great, on track to go to Wacken, but just when you are enjoying some recognition and a modicum of success - wham- apocalypse!
your bridge isnt set well?
dont do yourself a disservice by comparing to ibanez prestige, its your custom guitar now
its beyond compare just bang it out and love life
this has confused me.
I assume that
B - Bmajor
Bm - Bminor
Bm7 - is B minor 7th
then shouldn't Bmaj7th be B major 7th.
then what is B7 ?!
stop posting this worm pictures R~
It’s literally a 64 strat
No it’s not you drama queen
the reason why it doesn't get explained is it comes naturally to people who have already learnt. most 'teachers' suck.
Dominant 7, aka flat seventh interval.
oh okay thanks.
31 y/o here trying to learn guitar properly now. only knew open chords as a teen. trying to focus on scales and patterns now. never used the pinky finger much before so that's taking some getting used to. have been using a 15-year old cheapo acoustic guitar but pic related is in the mail. plan to plug into the computer and just use something like BIAS FX for now and see if I get serious enough with it to get a serious amp.
>woah it's almost like musicians play live and record with different guitars...
New to using pedals. Is it possible to run a single daisy chain back and forth from pedals to the power supply to make sure it has enough milliamps? Using a trex fuel tank
I would just get single cables and run them to each pedal but no place really has them online in bundles except amazon and they wont ship until the 20th because of corona.
yeah thats true but you have to actively think about moving your fingers on the notes at the same time
i didnt do this and i realise how bad it is now lol
sounds so boring but at least you're finishing something so grats
don't care
Go buy a Strandberg then.
>buy used jazz bass
>top two strings buzz horribly even with the saddles up all the way
>truss rod buried too deep to remove by hand
I'm gonna have to take it to someone aren't I?
Buying my first slide.i have short fingers but don't know if I should buy a short or long 1. Which one lads?
Anyone who's used Elixirs, how slinky are they compared with Ernie Ball and D'addario? Are the plain strings coated and last longer?
Larry Carlton makes guitars now?
They literally took John Jewers 64 strat and reverse engineered it literally even down to the pick ups
No they ‘literally’ didn’t you fucking drama queen.
>take a subjectively beautiful guitar
>plaster cheap looking tiny metal switches on the body cluttering it
>put a disgusting black plastic side jack panel on the side
>then charge a premium for these features
I'll just stick to my normal straight to the point controls and layout on my Fenders.
I'm bored someone give me a dank bassline to learn
Just bought this, I didn't think an expensive guitar would sound so much better, but it's really a night and day difference. The other guitar I own is a mexi strat with SSH pickups and I can't go back to it now.
Yeah, ok. Most custom 24s come with a master vol, master tone, and a 3 way blade toggle. The knobs push-pull for coil tapping.
pic is you
post albums recorded with ampsims
You overpaid, because the bridge is loose. Will cost you at least half of what you paid to have it reset by a luthier.
bit less slinky than ernie ball I'd say, they're all coated and they do feel better for longer.
the ultra series really is some of the nicest things fender ever produced, have fun!
dude it just costs a couple drops of titebond
